Book suggestions

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone may be able give me a few book suggestions about Christian history.

When witnessing I feel pretty comfortable with my use of the bible, but I feel pretty weak when a conversation goes into parts of history that effects Christianity today that is not covered in the bible.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
