Book recommendations please?

Hello,

I'm looking for a book or 2 that would help me and my husband.
I want to be able to understand where he's coming from and communicate better with him.
I've read something about languages of love here - that sounds like something that might make me understand more. What is the title/author etc?

This book is awesome. I totally reccomend it. The site is good as well, lots of stuff there to go through and think about. This helped me and my wife greatly through a really problematic time.

Focus on the Family has some great books as well.

Any book that deals with the Meyers Briggs personality types is excellent - my husband and I eliminated about 1/3 of our little "spats" by taking a class on understanding our and each other's personality types!!!

On Marriage and Family Life by St. John Chrysostom. Still as relevant today as it was over 1,600 years ago!

The classic that comes to mind is "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus." It's a GREAT book and is SOOOOO useful. I'd recommend EVERY person in a romantic relationship read it...it's so beneficial and will help you to understand where each other are coming from.

The Five Love Languages is by Gary Chapman (I think?) It is a very good book.

Boundaries in Marriage is also very good.

I would read Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, but read it bearing in mind it isn't Christian, and not everything will be applicable. MInd you, the same could be said about any book you will read about marriages.

!!!!!!!!!!! "How to get your husband to talk to you" is AN AWESOME BOOK!!!!!!!!!!! Though the title is odd, it is full of short chapters dedicating to understanding why our husbands are the way they are and what our role is... it is SOOOOOOOO GOOD!! Available at Family Christian Bookstores. TOTALLY helped me communicate and understand my husband!!

Yes, The Five Love Languages (or is it Languages of Love??) Anyway, it is by Gary Chapman. I highly recommend it.

I can't remember what the title is, but I am sure if you have the author and the basic idea of the title, you should be able to find it.
