This verse sounds like a poem:
But darkness shall not be dark to thee,
and night shall be light as day:
the darkness thereof,
and the light thereof,
are alike to thee.
Psalm 139:12

Perhaps this English interpretation was written in poetic form, i don't know how the original language was used. This is a cool scripture, it suggests that God doesn't need the sun like we humans do. Gods light shines everywhere and the sun is not needed, this reminds me of revelation. In my opinion.

Revelation 22:5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Great point RestoresMySoul, you are right. So much of what might be poetry from the glorious Psalms, is described in more detail in other books while preserving the divine mystery.

I read the Psalms daily, but they really need to be sung as the Jews did in the Temple. They are light for the day, separating darkness from the soul.
