I've also read that someone has been experimenting (apparently successfully) with Human Growth Hormone to regrow missing cartilage, which I believe is the main reason knees and hips end up needing to be replaced. Wouldn't it be wonderful if such a procedure could be mainstreamed enough to take the place of most joint replacements
