  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have Bend it Like Beckham on DVD. Does that count? I've also seen bits of Bollywood Hollywood and The Guru.

I guess they all come under the Bollywood banner! Even though the films that you mention were not actually produced in India. At least, I know that Bend it like Beckham was produced in the UK and also the same for The Guru. But I think Bollywood Hollywood may have been produced in India.

But anyway, since this site is primarily American, I'm wondering just how much interest the average American has for Indian movies! I'm guessing not much by the looks of things!! :(

I've seen bits of a lot of Bollywood movies, but I don't know the titles (sorry!). They're always playing then on the TV at this Indian restaurant that I love to go to. Also, Sunday afternoons there's Bollywood on TV, sometimes I'll watch that.

I 1st found Indian cinema in my final, fieldwork term from Moorlands Mission course: I chose to go to London's Tower Hamlets, Stepney & Mile End just after the Brick Lane race riots of 1979 "Winter of Discontent"

Many would kindly come & say, "Would you like me to translate for you?"

I always said that the style of acting is so graphic that words are unnecessary: great feel-good films, yes?
