  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

She's talking about movies made in India, not movies made about countries in Asia.

I've seen quite a few. There are quite a few I loathe, especially this one with Salman Khan and Preity Zinta. Zinta's character dies and Khan plays her husband. The quality was so poor. The ones I do recommend are Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham(A+), Kaho Naa Pyar Hai(B-), Main Hoon Na(B+), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai(B+) , and Masti (B-).

I have K3G and Kal Ho Naa Ho (with preity zinta, she doesnt die in that one Shah rukh khan does), I have KKHH, but I have not watched it yet. One Great movie is Baghban. Amitabh Bacchan is in it as well as his wife. The acting from one of the sons is a little over the top, but I dare say the story line is even better than Kabhi Khushu Kabhie Gham. It's another one about honoring your parents.

I'm not talking about Kal Ho Naa Ho. I really enjoyed Kal Ho Naa Ho, even though it had alot of stereotypes in it. It's another movie. Very recent I guess. I really hated it. Much of it was implausible and ridiculous.

I have to see Baghban then if it's as good as you claim.

How did you get the impression that I thought you were talking about KHNH?? I was merely comparing the deaths in the movies, how they jump from person to person.

Besides, how many things do you see in Bollywood movies that are plausible? I dont think any one ever approaches a Bollywood film looking for something serious and plausible.

Yeah, but that certain movie's implausibility was so over the top. It tried to be dramatic but failed miserably.

I'm ashamed to say that I've never given them a fair chance. They're huge here in Canada though (Large Indian population).

Does Bend It Like Beckham count as a Bollywood movie?

Naaa, Bend it like Beckham is too westernized :D. Im talking about fully subtitled (often times off), Get up and do a song and dance number in the middle of dinner, the movie is not complete without a wedding or a long, lost, wishful love Bollywood movie. Hehe

Many times it is the same story over told in different ways. Creative repitition I call it :)

Anybody?

This must surely come as a shock to all Bollywood fans the world over.
I once met and shook hands with the Bollywood legend that is SRK!!!
I met him at the London premiere of the 2001 film "Asoka".

I think Aamir Khan is cuter than SRK....so is Saif Khan. I dont understand SRKs appeal at all, but he is a HUGE star in India, I believe.

SRK works much harder than Aamir Khan or Saif. Through hard work SRK was able to achieve the number one position.
