• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I assume that it was not two stars which had different solar systems. I would guess that twin stars merge into each other a lot more often than say our sun with some other star out there. Please someone provide the link so I can read it. sometimes with these articles you have to have a specific kind of link to be able to show others it. if you use the normal URL it won't work.

You're welcome.

I know from past posts that you sometimes have a problem adding links. I'm happy to help where I can.

Why cant you link? On chrome u click the web address then the top of the list has a "<" looking thing but with a dot on corner and both ends of the lines. Then u click on "copy to clipboard" then u hold finger on typing medium then select paste. Dunno y they make things so overcomplicated. Your web browser does not look like chrome but seems like there should be a way. :/

Glitch with my phone
Funny. Just had to reboot my phone cause it spazzed out. One day technology will stop being imperfect and annoying.

A preprint version is available on the arXiv at:

https://arxiv.org/pdf/2011.09589.pdf

Stellar mergers are cool. The best fit is a ~0.3 M_solar star merging into a ~2 M_solar star.
