Boy does that bring back memories (I was 17 in 1957). That song was almost an anthem in the beer bars for years at Christmas time here in Wisconsin. The drinking age was 18 for beer then. The song drifted gently through the smoky haze and the din of laughter and foolish conversations to give melancholy solace to all who had recently suffered lost love (not me though, I was good).
