Blue Bible
Bleak as a fuschia sheet I lay,
resting in a Blue Bible.
Shuffled by everyone,
held for as long as I am needed,
then tossed to the next.
I am a nomad,
no place to go,
nowhere to call home.
Bleak as a fuschia sheet I lay,
depressed, and scared,
wondering who my next adopted family is.
Wandering through life,
taking a look left and right,
before I cross the street.
For I do not want to be hit
by the crowds, the crowds shuffling me,
in my Blue Bible.
Bleak as a fuschia sheet I lay,
resting in a Blue Bible.
Shuffled by everyone,
held for as long as I am needed,
then tossed to the next.
I am a nomad,
no place to go,
nowhere to call home.
Bleak as a fuschia sheet I lay,
depressed, and scared,
wondering who my next adopted family is.
Wandering through life,
taking a look left and right,
before I cross the street.
For I do not want to be hit
by the crowds, the crowds shuffling me,
in my Blue Bible.
