Blogs? unlinked

Some people have been showing blog counts showing; but it seems this is from starting a new blog not their old blog ..... I see repdaddy also asking if our old blogs will be linked; but if not ..... then does that mean all the permissions on our old blogs will now be replaced by this new blog?

ie. where we had "members only" to view earlier, now anyone could see them?

I wonder if I can have my old blog linked to my general posts so that people know and can find my blog and also will the previous blogs be incorporated into the new blog feature or should we begin a new blog?

Moriah would like to have its old blog posts inserted automatically into the new blog interface here if possible. Its old blog (which it only started a few days ago since CF1 conveniently "lost" its original blog by moving it first to "Beth Miqlat" and then shutting down Beth Miqlat without moving it back, gee thanks) bes in the Christian Blogs section titled "Waiting for the Miracle" or something like that. It could insert these posts by hand but there bes no option in the NEW blog interface to back-date entries, so old entries cannot be inserted retroactively without having an erroneous date stamp from the time of entry...

We did not have the announcement made on the blog right now because i was trying to have a "import" script working to import all your older blogs into your new one... this will be a "little" complicated but we will do that in the near future...

for the moment, your best shot is to start your blog and hope we import the old content very soon... i work on it.

for the old forum containing your old blogs, you can continue to post there, but it is suggested to start a new blog anyway, as you will have more features and more securities, as the permissions for the old blog system are locked down due to the upgrade...

so meanwhile; our old blogs still have their old permissions on? ie. a guest can't view my blog at all? and if we start a new one we can be confident that posts from our old blogs will be incorporated? i've seen others copying and pasting their entries which as moriah said will move any timestamps

Old blogs can be found here:
Christian Forum Blogs

New blogs follow a different format and you can start one by clicking "Blogs" on the navbar and putting in a title and description, then on the left hand side menu selecting "Post to your blog" to make a post.

At some point Nexialys will be merging the old blogs with the new, so if you bes patient that will happen, but right now one of her helpers bes in birthing. See this thread.
