We know the word of God to be true. We also have shown countless times on this message board that the 10 commandments are still valid. So what do people do? They use the argument that "it doesn't apply because it did not exist in the beginning." We know the Bible does not contradict itself. Therefore, it becomes logical to assume that it did exist in the beginning.

Exodus 20

8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates."

Why did God say to remember the Sabbath? Because 11 in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

It is so plain but people are stuck in there traditions. .

Amen!

As Christ points out in Mark 7 "in vain do they worship Me - teaching for Doctrine the commandments of MEN".

Something for ALL Bible believing Christians to take seriously - as it turns out.

in Christ,

Bob

It is so plain but people are stuck in there traditions. If it wasn't for the Sabbath, would Christians still try to reject the 10 commandments? Most Baptist admit the 10 commandments are valid, but reject that one commandment for whatever reason. However, many Baptist have converted to the SDA theology because they have seen the truth. To take that one step further, they have formed denominations that worship on the Sabbath. I myself am a former Catholic who converted to SDA. Remember, it is not about following that which is convenient for us, but that which is truth.

It would be good also to note that the Sabbath commandment was the first that was officially reinstituted once the Isrealites were freed from Egypt. Exodus 16:4-26, and thus another reason for which God starts the commandment with "Remember".
