I have a question and I know someone will know the answer... How do you get blessings??

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm new here, too, but I think I can answer for you. You get them from other members giving them to you. You can only give away up to as many blessings as you have yourself. You bless a member by clicking on the Bless link on the top line of their post. (In the same line with 'Profile PM Search Buddy' etc.)
You can use your Blessings to "buy" Armour of God, too. In your Control Panel (waaaaay up on top of the page under the Christian Forums title), there is a link to go to Armour (or armor if you're Yankee) and you can "buy" different levels of cool little armor pieces.

The Armor of God does not really do anything, per se, it is just for it's symbolism and for users to have them, if they wish to.

The Armor/Armour of God used to be part of what was shown under your user name in each post. (Under your gender, country, etc.) However, before we switched servers, Erwin wanted to find the best way to make this site run as efficiently as possible...so he removed the Armor/Armour of God from the list of what was shown under your name in each post.
I guess the best way to explain it is that it's kind of a fun thing. It's not required of you as a member to buy armor/armour unless you want to.
