I am Ekaterina from Ukraine. I'm glad to join this forum.
Some words about myself... I am crazy about Chrtistian Art, books, gems and minerals, apples and coffee.
My work is connected with spiritual jewelry. Every detail has a special meaning here. We sometimes get new and vintage items with Russian, Old Slavonic and Ukrainian prayer inscriptions, and I look for the English equivalent or just translate the text (I am a former teacher of foreign languages and a translator). Sometimes we get the medals of saints without titles and it's rather difficult to identify the image. I have to ask for help.
I have been working in this field for about 6-7 years and I am truly impressed by the richness and the beauty of the Christian traditions! I was lucky to hold in my hands the old icons with silver / brass frameworks and manuscript books (gospel, hagiographies). It's difficult to explain the feeling of the energy that comes from these objects. That makes me to dig deeper and to study the Christian Way of Life.
