When I grew up, I used to detest the first name I was given. Why? Because aparently in a fashionwave, a lot of mothers had given their daughter the same name. It's not a very 'unique' feeling if there are 6 people in a class of 20 that have the same name. My mother assured me though, that she knew NO ONE at the time who had the same name as I.
Now that I'm older, and indeed not surounded anymore by people who have the same name, I have grown to love it.
My name is 'Eva'. (the Dutch version of Eve), my mother is called Marie Madeleine (Dutch/French version of Maria of Magdalen), my best friend is named Maria. Her sisters are called Martha and Elisabeth.
Sometimes when there's a party and you have to describe who is going to attend... it catches you unaware of how much meaning these names have.
Which Saints are you named for?
