I know, another one of these posts. But there's a twist. I want to know if you have ever spoke aloud against the Holy Spirit, and have since experienced something particular where you knew God forgave you. I do not want to know if you ever had an accidental thought, but if you actually spoke something aloud against the Spirit -- be it through cursing the Spirit, blaming the Spirit for something, etc. And specifically the Holy Spirit.

Please only reply if you have an experience like this. I do not wish to discuss what you think the unpardonable sin is, I just want to know about experiences, if there are any. Please PM me if you don't want to post. Thanks.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit has more to do with the attitude of your heart than something said in frustration. Not to say that the things we say don't have an impact, but as far as the "unpardonable" goes. Your heart has to be FAR GONE for that to be any kind of a possibility.

Matthew 12:31-37
31 “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

33 “A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. 34 You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. 35 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. 36 And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. 37 The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

Thank you for your reply, but like I said - I am not looking for explanations, I am looking for experiences.

Hi,
Here's a experience that I lived with for 5 plus yrs. Back in 1984, I went through major disappointments. No details, but I was knocked off the rails. I internationally out of deep frustration, anger toward God swore at the Holy Ghost. I really never meant it, and I didn't know what I was doing.

For over 5 yes. I wrestled with this night and day. I felt doomed, and hopeless. I was filled with bad teaching which intensified the ordeal. Long story short I hadn't blasphemed the Spirit. It was the Spirit who ultimately delivered me from the torment I was in. I don't why your wondering about this? But there are precious people that Jesus loves who think have done this.

It's one of the reasons I preach grace boldly. I strongly believe in rightly dividing scripture. When a subject is being addressed who is the speaker referring to. Hope I made sense, its a very emotional subject. Sad thing so little understanding on the subject.

Grace to you.

Experience... hmmm

I grew up in a cessationist Baptist church and can remember agreeing with doctrine and preaching that said Pentecostals (and those like them) were not real Christians and perhaps even demon-possessed. Yet here I am, preaching the Word of God, full of love for the Lord who has set me free and revealed His grace to me through the Holy Spirit.

When I was just saved I was still not delivered and I had severe 'psychological' problems. Once I called the Holy Spirit on purpose a devil, yeah that's how insane I was at the time, I wanted to die and I thought He'd kill me if I did the unforgiveable sin. He forgave me anyway.

its a nasty firey dart from the enemy that one, i thought i commited it, i was worried, but i said to the lord if i am doomed i love you any way, but the lord said how can you be doomed, if you still love me, how can you have commtted
this sin, if your still repentent and sorrowfull, its not possible.

here is a good scripture that is good to use against this firey arrow.

1 John 1:9 (KJ21) | In Context | Whole Chapter
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

ALL UNRIGHTOUSENESS. no exeptions, you havent commited blasphamy against the holy spirit , if you asking for forgivness in the first place.

Hmmm? This would mean that I have to define “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit” the same way you do. And I don’t. To me it is blasphemous to think that since Calvary and the Resurrection there is any sin that is unforgivable. When Jesus spoke those words (Matthew 12) he spoke them as a warning to a particular people (the Pharisees, religious leaders) for a particular reason (they were resisting the work of God). I believe that since the Atonement of Christ there is no sin that is unpardonable, I cannot give you any experiences. :)

Did you call him only devil or demon and unclean spirit?

I suffered from OCD from my youth from my beginnings as a by choice Christian. It creates words and dreams or mental pictures of blasphemy... it crippled my feelings of salvation and I often went to church to see if God would save me and forgive me again and frequently maybe 200 times came insights into my secret thoughts and promises and words of hope for salvation week after week, year after year and in this came a relaxation. Stress, tension, lack of knowledge pushed OCD to produce more blasphemy, relaxation and I am relieved of much of the imagery...
