CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I see people food shopping at the last min.....best one was like 8pm christimas eve the lady comes up with a huge load of stuff and says that god ur open or else we wouldn't have anythign for xmas tomorrow!!! thatys cuttign it abit close!

I say skip the mall altogether and go catalog. Or Avon if you don't want the shipping charges. I wrote an article on how to effectively do this once..

My mom is a greeting card rep for Halmark, working in our local Wal Mart. She had to work 5-6 this morning, so I asked her to pick up one of those Apex DVD players for my girlfriend for Christmas and I'd pay her back. Well, long story short, no DVD player because a fight broke out and somebody ended up going to the hospital and the police were there and by the time all the confusion was over, all 20 of the players were gone.
As stated before, thank God for Internet shopping.

I got to work today at 5am. I don't think God was awake at that time. The doors opened at 6am. The people came pouring in like the mighty Mississippi. About the time that the sun was coming up this guy just came unglued because his card was declined. I thought to myself, "Dude. It's only SpongeBob."

hehe....I shop early in the day while most people are working. One of the benefits to working 2nd shift.
Or I do the internet thing.
I stayed in and slept today. Much fun.
Tomorrow I gotta go for a bit of a drive though to see if I can find something my parents want to buy for my sister. Where I'm going will probably be packed. But oh well.
