I knew it was only a matter of time before something like this happened to me at the public library. Last night at closing time, I was cleaning all the scrap paper off the reference desk when I unfolded a particular piece of scrap paper and found a note addressed to me (in very neat handwriting) from some strange woman; in it, she asked me if I wanted to go for coffee or tea sometime. Included was her phone number and email address...
At first, I was a bit excited but after doing some digging-- I cheated and looked her up in the library database-- I found out that she's 10 years older than me. Nothing against older women, but it kind of threw me for a loop; perhaps it's just because I was subconsciously hoping for someone my age or a bit younger?
I know it's just coffee (right?), but all the same it's a little weird. I have no idea who on earth this person is (although the name sounds familiar, like I might have helped her before at some point), and I don't really know if I want to even bother contacting this person. Thoughts?
