  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess I only would have one problem with it. If the individuals were all Christian and they were not all 3 married wouldn't it be a bad example?

(I know of exactly ONE family in which there is poly relationship going on that has proven to be positive and long lasting, this family was not a Chiristian one though, they were UU's. It consisted of one woman that was married to 2 husbands and they had 3 very sweet, polite children. All of them lived together under one roof and it seemed to work quite well for them.)

Of course, whe went up and down the gay road and slandered and hit each other over the head with the bible and the origin of species.

This is more complicated, I think.

Someone is a bisexual woman and is involved in a heterosexual relationship and a lesbian relationship and all partners agree and even join in from time to time.

I do not see anything wrong with that.

How do you see this kind of lifestyle?

From a religious perspective, consent does not make the forbidden lawful, the sin a virtue. Ya know, fornication is consentual too, but still a sin and a punishable crime according to the divine law of the God of Abraham.

I've been in that kind of relationship before, though it was not a girlfriend type deal; just a "friends with benefits" type package. ^.^

Anyway, I had a friend who said that it's impossible to be bisexual - because your sexuality is based upon who you are dating, and since you can only date one person at a time, you can't be both hetero and homosexual. I wasn't sure which part of his statement to correct first, lol.

In short: nothing wrong with bisexuality.
