Sadly not all Catholics are faithful to the teachings of the church. Pray a rosary for faithfulness to be restored.
Oh please.
Women have to take control of their bodies. Not everyone should be parents to multiple kids - if a woman doesn't want children, but wants to have sex, women [and men for that matter] have to take their reproductive systems into their own hands. Regardless of whether their partner is using contraceptives or not. One is responsible for their own body - and if a woman is uninterested in having kids [or more children], she has a duty to protect her body. As would any man. The Pill is one of the best, most reliable methods. If you choose to use the NFP - fine. I would just require more assurance - which is why I'm for contraceptives.
Regardless of my religious beliefs, I am for the birth control if someone feels the need to use it.
Likewise, anyone with an incredibly haywire menstrual schedule would realize that the NFP is difficult to chart.
It takes much effort - the Pill is a daily dosage that requires minimal effort providing one can tell time & remember to take it. Obviously, there are people who are careless when on the Pill, but there are just as many people who use it sucsessfully without complications.
There are things that aren't so great about the Pill. Getting on a good formulation is extremely important. But one should not forget its other properties - stabilizing the menstrual cycle, clearing up acne, etc.
