This is my Abba, my Father. This is WHO He is. He TELLS me these things. His heart spoke to mine. Mine responded. My own earthly father was a psychotic alcoholic. So was his. A deeply dark curse shadowed each generation. An insanity of evil entrenched each soul....

.....then God spoke to me. I was not created for darkness, I was created to be a child of Light. From ashes He would raise beauty. For hopelessness and despair, rejoicing and dancing. For sorrow, celebration.

This God hushed the storm that was my life, and stilled all that was coming against me, generational curses and all, and enabled me to be still and KNOW that He IS God.

"Be still, and know that I am God:" ~Psalm 46:10

Posted by a CF brother in Christ:

I was reading "The Ladder of the Beatitudes" by Jim Forest today and I wanted to share a short excerpt from it. It's a wonderful example of the kingdom of God shinning through in a time of war and hatred. Jim Forest is a member of the Orthodox Peace Fellowship.

"There is a story told by the poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko that gives us a glimpse of a sudden experience of the kingdom of heaven- in Russia, in the midst of war, with Stalin ruling from the Kremlin, and Hitlers armies pushing eastward.

In 1944 Yevtushenko's mother took him from Siberia to Moscow. They were in a huge crowd that witnessed a procession of twenty thousand German prisoners of war being marched across Red Square.

Yevtushenko recalls in his autobiography:
The pavement swarmed with onlookers, cordoned off by soldiers and police. The crowd was mostly women- Russian women with hands roughened by hard work, lips untouched by lipstick, and thin hunched shoulders which had borne half the burden of war. Every one of them must have had a father or a husband, a brother or a son killed by the Germans. They gazed with hatred in the direction from which the column was to appear.

At last we saw it. The generals marched at the head, massive chins stuck out, lips folded disdainfully, their whole demeanor meant to show superiority over their plebeian victors. "They smell of perfume, the bastards," someone in the crowd said with hatred. The women were clenching their fists. The soldiers and policemen had all they could do to hold them back.

All at once something happened to them. They saw German soldiers, thin, unshaven, wearing dirty bloodstained bandages, hobbling on crutches or leaning on the shoulders of their comrades; the soldiers walked with their heads down. The street became dead silent - the only sound was the shuffling of boots and thumping of crutches.

Then I saw an elderly women in broken-down boots push herself forward and touch a policeman's shoulder, saying, "Let me through." There must have been something about her which made him step aside. She went up to the column, took from insider her coat something wrapped in a colored handkerchief and unfolded it. It was a crust of black bread. She pushed it awkwardly into the pocket of the solider, so exhausted that he was tottering on his feet. And now from every side women were running toward the soldiers, pushing into their hands bread, cigarettes, whatever they had. The soldiers were no longer enemies. They were people"
This is the sort of story most history books pass over- miraculous moments when enmity is replaced by mercy, compassion opens the way to actions of healing and forgiveness, and plain poverty becomes poverty of spirit. The gesture of a single old woman broke through what Saint Paul describes as "the dividing wall of enmity" (Eph 2:14). Her eyes had been opened to see suffering German boys rather than murderous Nazi soldiers. Her response was to give away what little she had, a carefully saved piece of black bread. Was she surprised afterward by what she had done and the flood of gifts others had made in the wake of her small gesture of love? It was a moment when the kingdom of heaven flooded across Red Square."

I just received this email about praying for one minute for our nation. I'm sharing it because of how we direly need to lift out nation to God. Here it is:

Please join me in prayer for our nation. May God Bless America!
Subject: Prayer for one minute
Subject: FW: ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT!

Will you join us beginning tonight?
If you like the idea, pass it on to your friends.

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT
>
> This is the scariest election we as Christians have ever faced, and from the looks of the polls, the Christians aren't voting Christian values. We all need to be on our knees. Do you believe we can take God at His word? Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders unfold. This scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it.
I challenge you to do that. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land.

This election is the scariest I remember in my lifetime.
>
> 2 Chronicles 7:14.
>
> 'If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, And pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill, who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute, to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and peace. This had an amazing effect, as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. The United States of America, and our citizens, need prayer more than ever!!!

If you would like to participate, each evening at 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time (8 PM Central, 7 PM Mountain, 6 PM Pacific), stop whatever you're doing, and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, the upcoming election, that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land, and that Christianity will grow in the U.S.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless.

Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us.

God gives wisdom, discernment, and clarity to be alert to how what is written in His Word is, and has been, un-folding before our very eyes, and right under our noses.

Pay close attention. Pray. As it is written, we wrestle not against flesh and blood...there IS a spiritual war going on.

Yes, this video is over 2 hours long. Yet it is well worth it brothers and sisters. Pray. Get real with God. Ask Him for wisdom. It is not "Godly" to be asleep and choose to stay that way.

Father wake us from our slumber, our oblivious unconsciousness to the wiles of the enemy. Remind us there is a reason that we are admonished to put on Your full armor. Enable us to do this, and to take a stand for You, for Your kingdom, and to be silent and sleeping no more, in the name of Jesus, amen.

‘Let me explain the problem science has with religion.’
The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.
‘You’re a Christian, aren’t you son?’
‘Yes sir,’ the student says.
‘So you believe in God?’
‘Absolutely.’
‘Is God good?’
‘Sure! God’s good.’
‘Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?’
‘Yes’
‘Are you good or evil?’
‘The Bible says I’m evil.’
The professor grins knowingly. ‘Aha! the Bible!’ He Considers for a moment. ‘Here’s one for you. Let’s say there’s a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it.
Would you help him? Would you try?’
‘Yes sir, I would.’
‘So you’re good…!’
‘I wouldn’t say that.’
‘But why not say that? You’d help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn’t.’
The student does not answer, so the professor continues.’He doesn’t, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?’The student remains silent.
‘No, you can’t, can you?’ the professor says. He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.
‘Let’s start again, young fella. Is God good?’
‘Er..yes,’ the student says.
Professor: ‘Is Satan good?’
The student doesn’t hesitate on this one. ‘No.’
‘Then where does Satan come from?’
The student falters. ‘From God’
‘That’s right.. God made Satan, didn’t he? Tell me, Son. Is there evil in this world?’
‘Yes, sir.’
‘Evil’s everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make Everything, correct?’
‘Yes’
‘So who created evil?’ The professor continued, ‘If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.’
Again, the student has no answer. ‘Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?’
The student squirms on his feet. ‘Yes.’
‘So who created them?’
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his Question.
‘Who created them?’ There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized.’Tell me,’ he continues onto another student. ‘Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?’
The student’s voice betrays him and cracks. ‘Yes, Professor, I do.’
The old man stops pacing. ‘Science says you have five Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?’
‘No sir. I’ve never seen Him.’
‘Then tell us if you’ve ever heard your Jesus?’
‘No, sir, I have not.’
‘Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?’
‘No, sir, I’m afraid I haven’t.’
‘Yet you still believe in him?’
‘Yes’
‘According to the rules of empirical, testable, Demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?’
‘Nothing,’ the student replies. ‘I only have my Faith.’
‘Yes, faith,’ the professor repeats. ‘And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.’
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of his own.
‘Professor, is there such thing as heat?’
‘Yes.’
‘And is there such a thing as cold?’
‘Yes, son, there’s cold too.’
‘No sir, there isn’t.’
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.
‘You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don’t have anything called ‘cold’. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that.
There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees. ’Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.’
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.
‘What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?’
‘Yes,’ the professor replies without hesitation. ‘What is night if it isn’t darkness?’
‘You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it’s called darkness, isn’t it? That’s the meaning we use to define the word. In reality, darkness isn’t. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?’
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. ‘So what point are you making, young man?’
‘Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.’
The professor’s face cannot hide his surprise this time. ‘Flawed? Can you explain how?’
‘You are working on the premise of duality,’ the student explains. ’You argue that there is life and then there’s death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but it has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.’
‘Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?’
‘If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do.’
‘Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?’
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed..
‘Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?’
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided.
“To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean.’ The student looks around the room. ‘Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor’s brain?’
The class breaks out into laughter. ‘Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor’s brain, felt the professor’s brain, touched or smelt the professor’s brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir.’
‘So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?’
Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable. Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. ‘I guess you’ll have to take them on faith.’
‘Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,’ the student continues. ‘Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?’
Now uncertain, the professor responds, ‘Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man’s inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.’
To this the student replied, ‘Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.’
The professor sat down.
If you read this all the way through and had a smile on your face when you finished, mail to your friends and family with the title ‘God vs Science’
PS: the student was Albert Einstein

A memorial in Jerusalem in honor of those who died on 9/11 and the names of every one of those who were lost, is on the memorial. God protect and bless Israel:

The 9/11 Memorial in Jerusalem is the only memorial outside of Ground Zero that exhibits the name of all the victims of the terrorist attack.

He HEARS me!!! Praise His name!!! I love Him soooooo much. He is the Lifter of my head. Thank You for HEARING me Abba, and that You ACKNOWLEDGE that You hear me, and save ALL my tears, ev'ry single one, in a bottle, because they are precious to You. Thank You for knowing my heart and being in tune with my silent cries, that You love this city, this state, and this nation, and that Your Spirit interprets what i cannot express. I LOVE You. Father protect, defend, and waken Your slumbering ones. Draw our hearts, minds, and souls to You, in Jesus name, amen.

II Chronicles 7:14 must be adhered to: GOD’S PEOPLE must humble themselves, pray, seek God’s face and turn from OUR wicked ways. THEN God will hear from Heaven, will forgive our sins & will heal our land. WE must collectively arise at this moment in time.

Oh God help us to "see" as You do, for our hearts to be as Yours, in Jesus name, amen.

A beautiful song by David Huff from his album Proclaim.
The video focusses upon the forgotten children, the homeless and unwanted. Many of them have run from terrible home situations and been thrown into a world filled with others who seek only to corrupt and use them.
This situation really touched my heart, particularly reading about how much they missed their mothers and their family and how awful it was for them to be living on the streets at the mercy of others.
God knows each and every one of them and He loves them. What others do to the least of these children they do unto Him.
What we do unto the least of them, we also do unto Him. We should never forget this. Ever.
Peace to everyone.

...with BBN Radio's Jason Padgett, and Psalm 12, that he read before praying:

"Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted." ~Psalm 12:1-8
