Stay clear till they prove the angel feathers in BJ's church are really from angels and the gold teeth found in TB's followers didn't come from their dentist.

Yeah, and Johnson is friendly with Crowder, and his wife "ministers" with John Crowder's wife, who talks about "toking" the Holy Ghost.

They are also into the glitter dust, alot of the stuff seen on the Sid Roth show, body parts in heaven, angel friendship to the point of the absurd, going to heaven alot, meeting Moses, and Elijah, and all the rest of the hyper charismatic stuff, that give regular charismatic's a bad name.

I'm not super familiar with his teachings.
I listened to one of his podcasts a few years ago on fear.
(Didn't get much out of it iirc)
So I really want to know about HIM, what HE teaches,
not about NAR movement or whatever.
So the "submit to his authority" type of stuff isn't super
helpful.
You and I surely do disagree about a few things. I guess
thats because we're two different people
but we agree on lots, but that's beside the point lol.
Anyhow!
If you have anything specific that you think is unbiblical
i sure do want to know!

I have his book "Face to Face With God" I guess I should

A man is his doctrine. In the church, that is primary, because it effects the naive, who get flattering prophecies, to then follow the "prophet" to get more treats, and get his young ego stroked, to then tithe, and also protect the leaders.

After all, if the leader is found false, there goes the prophecy the young convert got, so he has alot invested now, in that leader, if the leader goes down, the young convert is not going to be some great man of God, "going to the nations".

Now the recipient of the so called prophecy, must protect the prophet, to protect his glorious destiny, that the prophet told the young convert he has coming.

Paul said, smooth talk and flattery to get the naive into their fold, and yes, from your own number said paul in Acts 20, meaning they beeees in the church!

If he, the recipient of the prophecy, realizes the prophet is false, where is his career headed? Maybe back to McDonalds.

This epitomizes what goes in in his circle, oh, NAR people sell porphecies too.

I agree. Anyone who doesn't preach repentance and the cross as their core message is suspect, as far as I'm concerned. I understand the principle of authority, but the scripture does not promote man as an authoritative figure, unless he's the husband or government figure with respect to secular world dealings. Otherwise, the head of every man is Christ.

Rule of thumb- Follow the money.

The angel feathers came in '99 in his church, after Rick Joyner, who was a Knight of Malta, visited his church. When I saw these angel feathers the first time on Sid Roth's show, must say I was very easy to swallow everything then, but that was really so fake, yellow and blue feathers you can buy to make the kids an Indian feather hat.
Derek Prince already said there was mixture in Toronto. He has a book, protection from deception:

Now, I want you to listen to this carefully, because it is revolutionary.Any spirit that focuses on the Holy Spirit and glorifies the Holy Spirit
is not the Holy Spirit.
It is contrary to His whole nature and purpose. Once you have grasped that, it will open your eyes to many things which are going on in the church that are otherwise difficult to understand

Come on frog don't " don't sweat the small stuff". Gold dust, gold teeth, there's 9 gifts the Spirit manifests to the body. He's not showy, pushy, in a hurry, or easily distracted. He administrates to the body. He only glorifies Jesus, and no man or men.

I have no idea what NAR is or what they sell.

I tried taking notes, and it was pretty much useless lol. IF people were truly objective about things, I have seen the videos of gold dust falling in his meeting, HE NEVER said a word about it except..."it's all about Jesus, stay focused on Jesus"...and that was it. He made no production out of it. BUT in here as well as in GT, you get the "know it alls" and I am "smarter and better" than everyone else.

One half hour is like five pages of notes.
Every single sentence is ... it's all God.
No way could a man come up with such

THAT is good to know, because this kind of creeped me out a bit.
Not so sure why God would do that,, maybe the enemy would do
that to take the focus OFF of Jesus. Not saying it's that, just musing.

I just want to hear facts I guess.
People do get zealous and I'm sure I've done that

In both the "Bill Johnson" and "Neo-Gnostics at Redding..." threads at GT, my main interest is his kenotic Christology. From what I've seen so far, his statements do not differ appreciably from ones by Walter Martin, Gordon Fee, Gerald Hawthorne, and the Assemblies of God -- all of which are widely regarded as orthodox; and the three individuals are generally viewed as reputable scholars.

Bless you JavaQueen for taking a stand. We're first and foremost followers of the LORD and it doesn't hurt to give a thumbs up to those that carry His anointing and impartation of His Gifts. Some will try to plant seeds of doubt with nonsensical twisting of words and misrepresenting best intentions of Christian love.
