a big step towards what? letting emotions, rather than reason dictate the nation?

No for having an actual thinking, breathing human being in office. One with their own opinions and who is not afraid of sharing them. I for one am tired of the follow the leader politics that have been present in years of late.

And once again, sexism coming from a Christian man. Who would have thought?

Last time I checked, women were more emotional than men. Am I wrong? And sometimes women let emotion go before reason (just ask my last g/f). So I really don't see how it's a sexist remark.

Men and women can be equally emotional. True men are more conditioned to be strong and manly, but nowadays women are just as conditioned. Some girls will always be emotional and the same holds true to some men!

And men are a bunch of testosterone laden, war mongering, hairless apes. (just ask my last b/f)
Stereotype anyone?

See? There's a different between stereotype and sexism. This is sexism:

Q: Why doesn't a woman wear a watch?
A: Because there's a clock on the stove.
*rimshot*

That was a sexist joke. See the difference?

Yes, her post was sexist. It was to prove a point. Obviously you didn't get the point.

Would you argue that stereotypes are in some way better than sexism? What you said was a stereotype of the "typical emotional woman who can't do anything because she's too emotional." It's sexist. Women can do just as much as men, and many men do realize this. I've noticed that a lot of Christian men seem to have a problem with it, though.

Yes, I draw a distinction between stereotyping and sexism. You also twisted my words. I said "And sometimes women let emotion go before reason." I in no way said they couldn't do anything becaue they are too emotional. I know women can do as much as men. I have no problems with it. If a woman is more qualified than a man is for a certain job, then by all means she should have it. If I need a doctor, I want the best one available, regardless of sex.

Even though I am puzzled as to why entrance tests for the military are easier on women than for men. I also wonder why they aren't allowed to be front line soldiers. Both of these should be changed.

And why is this becoming a battle of the sexes in here? Seriously. If a woman want's to be president, fine. In my personal opinion, thougn, I just don't think it should be this woman. But that is my opinion simply because I don't like her. One of my good friends is going to be a female president, I know she'll do it and I have full faith in her.
