  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Biggest loser on CF.....

*sigh* I just knew you would ask me that. It was Bud Lite, but from someone else's fridge, therefore free :ebil:

My personal favorites are Fat Tire and Michelob Ultra Amber

Even though it was not on the "diet,' Bueno and Beer is NEVER bad. If you are going to cheat on the diet, at least you did it right!

LOL, yeah, I could have done a lot worse. The muchaco was soo worth it. :yum:

This morning has been interesting. My stomach was really growling so I knew I needed to eat but the idea of eating/putting food in my mouth was not appealing to me. I made myself eat, though, because a.) I don't want to get sick from not eating and b.) I have to take my medicine with food and c.) I don't need to have my tummy growling at work.

I've had this happen before but that was years ago and I think it was a side effect of medicine. Today I guess it might be nerves.

OK, since I'm pretty much over my cold from last week, I can start my attempt again. So far today:

Breakfast: 6 oz yogurt and 2 Powerbars
Lunch: raw veggies (broccoli, carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes) with ranch dip, and a banana

Haven't decided on supper yet.

Haven't been able to walk nearly as much as I want to - only about 10 minutes a day. Hopefully can walk a lot over the weekend, weather-permitting.

Today: lowfat cottage cheese and strawberries, 2 poptarts, a few cashews, and a few saltine crackers (will edit this after dinner) After dinner edit: I had chicken and pasta for dinner. Uh.. a lot of pasta :sorry: But I think I had enough points for that.

Also I randomly exercised at work over and over again for five hours :D

Well, I bummed on eating today. I didn't eat any junk food (which is a surprise for me lol)...just ate too much.

I'll go for a walk after Josh goes to bed. Try again tomorrow.

Just don't get bummed about it. Think of every good choice as one more step towards where you want to be; not the other way around.

Personally, what works for me is to stick to my plan really really well, but then splurge (moderately) on a meal with friend 1-2 times a week. That makes me look forward to a treat, and not want that kind of food every day, all the time.

I had great success out of the Warrior Diet, but I just started another bulk phase a week ago so I've tweaked it into a recomp diet.

Current schedule:

Mon/Wed/Fri- weight training
Tues/Thurs/Sat - cardio (30 mins. each day)

Instead of eating all of my calories in a four hour window, I've spread just the protein out over 6 meals evenly spaced throughout the day. I also now only eat carbs at two of them: the before and after workout meals. (Which, at the present time, is taking place in the morning.)

I never exceed 100 grams of carbs per day.
