I've lost a pound and a half. I bought 90 calorie granola bars to help me resist the chocolate/cookies that are constantly in my office. It seems to be helping.
Good to know. I'll dip a couple of apple slices, too - for some fiber.Natural/Organic Peanut Butter, assuming you're not alergic to peanuts,is (imo) one of the best crave killers there is.
It's got a good amount of unsaturated fat and protein plus some carbs, so your body feels full after eating it, and (iirc) a serving only has 190 cals, so it's not enough to derail your diet.
Well, it's better than cookies and stuff.
Also, I'd avoid Jiff, Skippy, etc. because those are mostly hydrogonated oils.
And brushing your teeth/tounge helps too. Not sure if it's the flouride or the brushing itself or both, but it satisfies the taste buds, so you eat less if you brush after every meal.
...and your breaf smells better too.
No frownie faces allowed! Instead of looking at it like failure - look at it like you won half the battle. You could have had the burger AND the snickers bar.I had salad instead of a burger at lunch. GO SARA, GO SARA, GO!
I did eat a snickers almond bar though.
Hey Tink - my response to you just now landed on post #87

Have you done any walking?
I love organic peanut butter. I use apple slices, too! I get my PB locally, and it's super fresh and delicious. They don't add any oil, either. Just peanuts and love
I'm sort of sleep deprived after the whole ICU and funeral thing, so my attempts to go to bed early so that I'll get up early and run have only resulted in me snuggling deeper into my blankets and hitting the snooze button.
I've done some minor weight and strength training every day, though. I've also been doing things like parking in the farthest region of the parking lot when I go to class, the store, work, etc. Every time I'm in a certain house I have to go up or down stairs, I run up/down about five times. I'm trying to cram it in where I can! lol
OOH! I got my new eating plan book in the mail today, and I'm super excited about starting their Fat Flush plan.
Yay to everyone who's doing such a good job! Tink don't let one little slip up get you down. It's about changing a lifestyle as a whole, and it doesn't happen overnight. If you make good decisions every time you can bear to, you'll phase out more and more of the stuff you don't want to be eating. Just think of each healthy choice as one more step towards where you want to be.
