  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Bigfoot" fails DNA test.

PALO ALTO, California (Reuters) - Bigfoot remains as elusive as ever.

Results from tests on genetic material from alleged remains of one of the mythical half-ape and half-human creatures, made public at a news conference on Friday held after the claimed discovery swept the Internet, failed to prove its existence.

Them going to Biscardi was basically the sign of the end of this little thing.

It's like (were he still alive) seeing a UFO and thinking "the only way people will believe this is if George Adamski helps me out."

To be fair, the Patterson video is the most credible evidence so far.

There was a show on several weeks ago, about searching for Sasquach,or something about the Sasquach, and these guys put a board with nails sticking up,on the porch of their hunting cabin. Something stepped on it and left a huge bloody print, and blood/hair DNA,on a couple nails, which is being tested. At the end of the show it has already been shown not to be the DNA of human or any known ape or bear,so I am curious if we will ever hear the results of further testing? It certainly doesn't take over 4-6 weeks for more exhaustive tests, does it?

Surrender the body and this issue would be put to rest. The fact that they wish to keep things at an "undisclosed location" speaks volumes of their authenticity. If it's authentic release the body. If you're afraid of people attempting a cover up, sleep and stay in the same room as the specimen at all times.

I agree,as soon as I read that they were not going to show the body at the press conference,I knew it was all hooey. I believe anyone with the real thing, would have shown it to the media immediately, that would be the best protection from a cover-up.

Who cares, the Patterson footage is proof enough that the creature exists.

No. The Patterson film is proof something that looked like a sasquatch was filmed 40 years ago... and has never been filmed, shot, hit by a car or found dead since.

Sounds like you caught an episode of Monster Quest, and it was likely filmed 6 months to a year ago. (and it's possible that ep is reairing monday night) If you can get the names of the researchers you could Google them and see if they found more conclusive data.

Especially coming just a monthish after that alien photo fiasco in Denver.

The Patterson Video is the Bigfoot version of The Blair Witch Project. It proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the thesis statement is true!

And Close Encounters of the Third Kind is proof enough that aliens exist.

I always feel bad for that guy. First he gets attacked by sharks, then he gets taken by aliens, then he comes back to Earth and ends up in a bad Richard III off-off-off-Broadway production, and then he becomes a music teacher and has a deaf child. What a tragic life that poor, poor man has led. And always have to change his name too!

Actually first he spent an entire night of futility trying to track down a blonde in a T-bird. :p

Thank you, yes,I believe you are right about the show being Monster Quest. I rarely watch that, but that time I was channel-surfing and saw it listed and when I pressed the info button on my remote it sounded interesting so I did,and it was the best show I've ever seen, about Sasquatch, and that isn't saying much! That is a great idea about trying to get the name/names of the researchers or their lab,and looking them up.If they are not even mentioned, that will be good reason for skepticism.

However this is not the same sasquatch ep that is airing! This one is in NY.

After clicking on your link,(thanks for providing that BTW) and seeing that the sasquatch ep,originally aired November 7,2007,I am already thinking this is just more hooey! There is no way, they wouldn't have had the answers by the time I saw the show aired! I'm with you on the no dead bodies questions.MHO is these creatures are nothing more than legend created in the minds of fearful, ignorant rural dwellers, and I will not believe otherwise unless/until a genuine specimen is produced, alive or dead.

I haven't heard anything about an alien photo fiasco in Denver.

Monster Quest is a great show for skeptics like me (though some of my more cynical skeptic friends would disagree) because it delves into the evidences presented by believers and then subjects them to scientific scrutiny. The skeptic side of me wishes they didn't just allocate the last 10 minutes or so to the evidence against believer cliams, but the cryptid fan (and other claims like UFOs etc.) in me wishes they'd balance the entire hour between believer and skeptic observations/evidence.

I'm sorry but bandwidth and time prevents me from linking to the Denver alien hoax right now. You can Google "alien photo press conference" or try on CoasttoCoastAM and find the images in question. Supposedly, about a month ago, a group of hucksters, similar to those in the OP, claimed to have a photo of a peeping tom alien but instead of conclusive evidence showed, similarly to the "Sasquatch" hunters, vague and fuzzy photos of what appeared to be a Halloween mask.

Oh my,the Denver Alien stuff,is sooo pathetic,LOL! ^_^^_^

Though I thought that Monster Quest show about the sasquatch was really interesting,it also caused me to feel a lot of skepticism and aggravation,in the same way as the few Ghost Hunters shows I watched, which I refuse to waste my time on again. With videos that never catch any image, although 'supposedly' things have been disturbed in the same area! Made me feel the same as when some in the Ghost Hunters team are always exclaiming"did you see or hear that"?Which of course we(viewing audience)never saw or heard what they claim to,and there is always so much background music or noises how could we tell, anyway? Plus we have no clue as to how many people they have in place in those buildings.

Anyway,I got off-track here, but I will say that I do not intend to ever waste anymore time on any of these stupid shows again. I'll believe it when I see actual proof all over the major media outlets, and verification by 'credible experts',and not until then.
