The bible is against abortion. So a pro-choice position can not be by faith. How can sending babies back to God be even remotely faithful?

Look, no matter what your justification is, here is the fact, Exodus 20:13 - "Thou shalt not murder". In your words Incor: " in my faith view i can see abortion more along the lines of euthanasia, to asleep, or an offering unto eternal life. murder is more along the lines of evil malice."

You seem to use the word faith recklessly as though because you have faith in this and can find one verse that says it is better not to be born in the world, which if read in context is only to emphasize the wickedness of this world and sin, that somehow makes it okay to ignore the countless verses in the bible about killing.

Regardless of how you want the think murderight be, and how you would like to not classify abortion as killing, here are the facts: the bible says as quoted above, do not murder. And according to the official definition of murder, it is the premeditated killing of a human being by a human being, with or without malice. Reality check, that is exactly what abortion is. Period.

The wonderful thing about the bible is that it proves itself. Don't use theory or logic to prove the bible. Use the bible to prove the bible. If you read a verse, such as the one in ecclisiastes, that you think means it is better to die in innocence than experience the corrupt world, then you need to make sure the rest of the bible Supports that claim. By your theory, pharaoh was doing the israelites a favor by throwing their babies in the river and sending them to heaven.

Don't sit at home and watch the news in disgust as a mother is arrested for brutally drowning her 2 year old and turn around and encourage a mother to kill her 2 month old fetus. It is disturbing, and extremely hypocritical.

If we teach our children that killing is OK as long as they go to heaven, and even worse that we are doing them a favor, then you are pushing them further from the love of Christ my friend.

These babies are martyrs.The abortions themselves are rooted in pagan religions and are diabolic in nature. Its an attack on their life and on Jesus who is life itself. So yes, babies do go to heaven but the unrepentant murderers won't.

in war, it is not murder. it is duty. reasons differ. God is ok w/sacrificial offerings-abraham/isaac.-and ofcorse the greatest-the Lamb of God. i respect ur view, i ask u respect mine. as they say, "thats life"...under the sun. pc

You are taking that verse out if context. I encourage you and those apart of this debate to look at my entry in my blog about abortion. It addresses a lot of the things we've been talking about in depth, and uses scripture to prove the issue. Everything I have to say about the issue is found there.

I encourage you to seek clarification about this issue from scripture, and put your sights outside of just Ecclesiastes. That can't be your only justification for this, because if it is true, then it will be supported all throughout the Bible.
