Biden used cheat sheet while doubling down on unscripted message to oust Putin
His comments closely aligned with notes printed on a small piece of paper that he was photographed holding in his left hand as he spoke that began as follows:
- If you weren’t advocating for regime change, what did you mean? Can you clarify?
- I was expressing the moral outrage I felt towards the actions of this man
- I was not articulating a change in policy
Ah the gipper...
"We begin bombing in 5 minutes".
...and curiously, Russia did go on "red alert" - at least in the N Pacific allegedly due to a possibly drunk Soviet duty officer.
First off, Russia is not the fallen Soviet Union.
That said, you want to compare Biden to Reagan?
Biden's incoherent ramblings pale in comparison to Reagan's articulate, eloquent, insights.
(he is very old and he has a known speech impediment so it would be the most unkind and cruel cut to mock his speech).
What do cheat sheets for answering questions concerning recent statements, have to do with speech impediments?
Correct. Russia today is run by an authoritarian dictator trained by the KGB and who seems to fantasize about re-creating the Soviet empire but doing so without the underpinnings of "Communism".
Putin is driven by two things: greed and power.
For those of us who remember the Reagan years we often worried (near the end) that he was actually suffering from early stage Alzheimers (he later actually DID develop it). But you are correct, Reagan was a polished speaker. A man capable of hiding behind a mask of friendliness and chumminess and "down home wit". He was an actor. That was his game and he did it well.
Biden is too old to be President. Reagan was too old. But we must also be mindful that Biden also has a speech impediment and while Trump was fine with mocking the disabled the rest of us should be aware of this when we go against a public speaker's speech. Generally, though, I agree that Biden is far too old for the job.
I believe I clearly outlined my points in the original post. Sorry if they didn't come across clearly to you.
Everyone was KGB in the USSR.
How did you come up with this seeming fantasy that Putin seems to fantasize about re-creating the Soviet Empire?
I wasn't talking about speech impediments.
This doesn't answer my question.
You brought up speech impediments; and I asked how that related to what was being discussed. I'd still like to understand what you are attempting to convey. Do you have any cheat sheets?
I don't believe that is correct.
he is struggling to think.
Your opinion? How about the facts and details that support or lead to your opinion in response to questions?I don’t need notes to remember my opinion. Maybe that’s because I’m not trying to cover up anything.
I didn't say you did; I said this is like that constant harping on a petty trope. And I’ve never brought up teleprompters. I’m not talking about giving speeches.
Your opinion? How about the facts and details that support or lead to your opinion in response to questions?
Oh come on, that was funny.Ah the gipper...
"We begin bombing in 5 minutes".
...and curiously, Russia did go on "red alert" - at least in the N Pacific allegedly due to a possibly drunk Soviet duty officer.
That was not, strictly speaking, the context of my point.
I think that it succinctly sums up the topic of this thread though. It's actually quite brilliant in its' own way.
I did not at any point say that Biden was actually having trouble thinking.
when he is struggling to think.
How much public speaking on national TV do you do? You know this is normal. You know Trump did it. Isn’t there anything more substantial to criticize Biden for?I don’t need notes to remember my opinion. Maybe that’s because I’m not trying to cover up anything.
And I’ve never brought up teleprompters. I’m not talking about giving speeches.
Hey that’s not fair, you cut another poster’s sentence to change the meaning. That is what a friend of mine, who defected from the Soviet Union, explained to me. Maybe I'll explain it to you some day.
That seems obvious to me.
