There is much that is unbearable about the right but this is an issue where they have a winning advantage. Family-orientated politics appeals to states having children ´with functional families and the greatest influence on voting behavior remains one's family background.

Yeah I just don’t see any political party as having a monopoly on “families.” It’s just plain silly to even entertain the idea that one party is family oriented and the other is not. Everyone has families, republicans have families, democrats have families, gays have families, trans people have families, atheists have families. The people on the right may think they’re the ones with that section of society cornered but they simply aren’t and it’s off putting to non republicans that they insist they have that monopoly.

In the long run, the Republicans are outbreeding Democrats and the sterile focus of the left on depressed metropolitan singles, or on non-procreating groups like gays and trans's is politically self-defeating in the long term.

I love this take of ideology having some kind of genetic or hereditary origin. It doesn’t, otherwise there would be no such thing as atheists. I have no interest in the continuation of the Democratic Party. What makes people democrats is that there’s simply no other option to not being a republican and being politically active in this country. Republicans may be breeding like rabbits but their kids are running away from their parents ideology as quickly as they can start to run and think for themselves.

I wouldn’t bet on the future political viability of either party. They both need to die out.
