During his first interview since quitting the presidential race, President Joe Biden told CBS News that his decision was influenced by the need to prevent former President Donald Trump from being reelected and to minimize distractions in other Democratic campaigns. Biden also described himself as a “transition president,” acknowledging the pressures from Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate who were concerned about the impact of his candidacy on their races.

Does it make conservatives feel better to imagine President Biden was coerced into leaving the race?
I look at him as a hero with an amazing legacy of accomplishment and public service.
Let's face it. He could have staged a fuss. Had a rally for the Gray Panthers and led them in storming the capitol.
Complaining that his candidacy had been "stolen."
He could have been a sore loser. As we have seen sore losers get lots of votes.
Instead he put America before his own ambitions, and cemented his place in history.

I look at Joe Biden as being one of the very worst and incompetent POTUS in American history. However, if Kamala Harris happens to become the next POTUS, then I think that she will be even more incompetent than was Joe Biden.

It is a bit ironic that many liberals accused Trump of an attempted coup but liberals actually committed one against their own by the people selected candidate.. Joe is no hero this was never about the good of the country it was clearly about the Democrat party,

I have never cared for Biden's policies ... however he was forced out of running by his own party (rightfully so or not) ... the thing I find disconcerting is that democratic voters weren't given the opportunity to vote on who would be the new nominee (replacing Biden) ... that isn't very "democratic" to me

Biden will be at the convention to support the ticket.
Every single politician who had doubts about his run prefaced it with praise for his leadership.

He will get so much love and respect--as he should.

While most of you know I would support a comatose candidate over Trump, there are others who just would leave their vote blank.

Biden realized that a Trump win would sink his legacy. He did the wise, principled thing.

Hopefully he will live long enough to see public buildings and roads throughout blue America named after him.

He was a power hungry old man who refused to acknowledge the reality he was too old for the office. He's not brave and your worship of him convinces no onem
