Odd.
The Republicans want both candidates to stay,
The Democrats want both candidates to go away.
And the same Democrats claim it is the Republicans who are a danger to democracy.
Actions speak louder than words.

Well it would have happened whether the Republicans wished for it or not.
I'm actually not sure that Biden would have stepped aside without pressure from his party. It doesn't mean that he wouldn't have croaked, though.

You are assuming he's not fit to run for President. My read is more that this is an acknowledgment that he can't win.
Not my assumption alone, many of his own party asked him to drop out. His debate was evidence of him
being incompetent, never mind the 47 years he served in congress.

He’s just too worn out to go on. I hope he enjoys his retirement.

Well, here's a twist I did not know about. New Hampshire like other states which did not run democrat primaries, was
originally denied delegate votes at the DNC convention, because they didn't follow the new rule that South Carolina
would run the first democrat primary. New Hampshire had a tradition of being first and so ran a non-sanctioned
primary first, but it was not counted. Joe Biden was not on the ballot. However, back in April, the DNC change the
rules again and stated that NH delegates would be counted at the DNC convention, for Joe Biden.
The problem is that Joe Biden refused to debate anyone running against him, like Robert Kennedy Jr. So, the voters
never got to hear the other candidates nor vote for whom they wanted as the democrat nominees.
The voters in NH and other states which did not have primaries, originally had all their delegates going to Biden at
the convention. However, that has now all changed. The delegates are free to vote for whomever they want,
at the convention and it doesn't have to be Kamala Harris. In other words, the Democrat Convention will be open.
What the fights that occur there. :D

Real democracy, eh?

Just heard it on the news. He will finish his term.
Just a friendly question . but had the DNC already determined biden to be the president .
cause if not there is no gaurantee Kamala will be its pick .
Has anyone thought of this yet . I mean doesnt the DNC in the end determine who is approved .
So if biden steps out , not even yet having been endorsed
can this not change the entire event . I mean the DNC might say HOLD ya horses we no want kamala .

Biden just needs to sit back and rest and read and learn the bible and get to truly KNOW the LORD .
Keep praying for him and others . God can change the heart of the worst of men . believe me , I DO KNOW all about that myself .

Yeah. That’s fair.
If the DNC were to get michelle obama to run
that would have lit a powder keg of enthusiams right into the left and some independents too .
But my best guess is , that is not in the plan . IF the elites want trump in , if its his time
HE will win . Suprised you didnt I . you thought the elites only ran the left . OH NO .
the agenda is what THEY RUN and they own it .

Regardless of what used to be done at these conventions, it’s pretty much Kamala is a sure bet after President Biden endorsing her. She is the Vice President after all and President Biden has not finished his term. The Democrats can do what they want as far as objections but with only 4 weeks till the DNC I do not see them kicking up the dust about it too much. I think they will be concentrating on her VP pick at this point.

Michelle Obama has said repeatedly she is not interested in running.
Happy to hear that! WE don't need another Obama in the White House.

If my sons broke up with a girl over twitter, I would be extremely disappointed.
You should always "man up" and face people.
Resigning as the presidential candidate after having won the people vote, is a serious issue.
Now I get he has covid and is an elderly man, so he must be incredibly sick
The west wing staff didn't get a heads up.

Well the media has jumped onto the Harris for President bandwagon.

I can't count the number of times the local and national news anchors have said that
she'll be the first woman president and a woman of color.

We'll have to wait until August to see if she is nominated. Just give it time.
