Cool. If the DNC puts up another candidate, I'll likely vote for whomever that is. If not, I'll still be voting for Biden. I've said it before - If Biden comes to be unable to fulfil the duties of his office in this next term up to and including his death there are contingencies in place to deal with that. Those contingencies and all of the fallout from it is better for the country than having convicted felon Trump and his sycophants in charge again will ever be. Period.

Conversely, and nobody is talking about this for some reason, if the RNC were to put up another, more moderate Republican candidate, someone like a Liz Cheney for example, they might siphon off enough Democratic and independent votes to ensure victory for the party. But nobody is talking about that.

See, the media and the right want to paint it like some crisis for Democrats, but it really isn't. Nobody is worshipping Biden, claiming that he's sent by God or is the literal messiah of the Democratic party. That's Trump and his MAGA people. That's what they do. Democrats are about "The IDEA" (for all the attempts to make fun of that phrase from last night's debate) not the man. It's no wonder to me at all that the majority of Trump supporters are Christians because it's the same thinking with religion. Christians worship a man, or at least a being that is made in our image, so it just tracks that that's how they would perceive their leaders.

Yeah, they are pretty much doomed no matter what they do next. And it all goes back to something that can actually be blamed on Hillary, namely, the way she muscled the nomination away from Bernie. That really broke the Democrats, and would have probably even if she'd won. And so, the Democratic party will likely never be a labor party again.

If he doesn't withdraw, he should at least pick a popular vice president. That way if he wins and can't continue his duties people won't fear being stuck with Kamela Harris.

President Biden’s debate performance may be America's blessing in disguise. I didn't subject myself to the pain of watching. I've read several pundits complain how this was one of the worst debates in American history. But I have seen a lot of positive things result from failure in the past. Perhaps we may have a chance to vote for at least one qualified candidate in November. From what I've read this morning, Joe has shown his political career seems to have reached its expiration date. And Mr Trump appears to believe he won the debate by perpetual prevarication. Nobody wins anything with lies. Especially we citizens who deserve better than these two.

My tepid optimism for America's near future has relied upon my belief that Americans won't be forced to choose between these two candidates in November. Regardless, God's will shall be done and I feel fine.

Despite his having had more legislative successes that have made a positive impact on our country, despite our record prosperity, decreasing inflation, principled support of Ukraine (given mostly in older equipment we are ready to replace), etc. I see that Biden is showing his age.
While I have no doubt about his cognitive abilities today (despite his difficulty in expressing them in a debate situation) I am concerned about the upcoming four years.
That being said, the other candidate has problems that I could never excuse. Narcissistic, sociopathic, dictatorial tendencies. Pathological lying.
But during the debate, even though every single word out of the other candidate's mouth was flat out lying, promoting immigrant hysteria, or stock phrases like "the worst in history" or "the best the world has ever seen." Those phrases, ironically, often described great things as "the worst the world has ever seen" and his own terrible actions as "the best the world has ever seen."
Fortunately, my preferred candidate is not a narcissist. He cares about other people, and he cares about America. If he believes he needs to step aside, leaving a legacy of enormous accomplishment, he will.
I think it would be the right thing to do--because his fraudulent opponent is so skilled at lying from decades of practice that he is believed by some, particularly when backed up by cowardly, obsequious legislators and right-wing media.

I remember arguing against Trump when I heard he was running for president. I thought he was too hot headed and he was going to get us in trouble with other nations. His statements also lack good moral character when he was running against Hilary, which also disturbed me at the time. However, when I look back, I realize that things were not as I thought. Trump is not a perfect person by any means, but he was trying to close the border with the wall and keep bad guys out of our country. Biden has done the reverse of that idea and he let a bunch of criminals come into our country (with Americans being killed). There are tons of illegal immigrants that are here because of Biden and we are paying our tax dollars for them. It's a problem now because of the Biden campaign and their open door policy they initially started. Then there is the economy. When Trump was in office, I was able to buy a house during Covid times and I got stimulus checks. The interest rates were lower than they ever had been under Trump. Trump even smoothed things over with North Korea when he was in office.

Under the Biden administration we see food in the stores double. Mortgage rates are sky high now. We have a president over the last years whose cognitive decline is only getting worse day by day and his whole campaign has been hiding it from us. The debate proved he was not all there and he has some form of Dementia or something. This is simply a fact. Looking at that man you cannot say otherwise and be a sane person. His own wife had to talk to him like he was a three year old and said he did a good job and he answered all the questions. People who say he did a good job are out of touch with reality. I believe people who want Biden in office do not realize things will only be worse for our country in it going more into debt, and with not dealing with the immigrant criminals that are here because of their own stupid decisions they made.

The Biden campaign is also less Christian, as well. Trump said he was going to implement a Christian task force because of the problems Christians have nowadays under the Biden administration and their agenda. We also need a strong leader who shows strength against dangerous enemy nations. Sorry, but Biden and or Harris do not exactly seem like they show strength to protect our country right. Enemies can take advantage of a weak leader. In fact, who is running our government? By just looking at the debate, he is not physically fit to be running our country. All I know is the track record of Trump's administration was far better than Biden's administration by a long shot. This is reality that I have experienced unless you have been living some alternate dimension or something. If folks are just up and love liberalism so much and do not care about Americans struggling more financially and they don't mind criminals from other countries killing Americans, then by all means, vote for Biden and let the pain of insanity continue upon Americans. Want more people screaming "Death to America" living in our country? Vote Biden and you will get more of that nonsense. Such a thing would have been unthinkable after 9/11.

Well, unless you lived in an alternate universe, I am pretty sure I bought a house at one of the lowest interest rates the US has seen in a long time under the Trump administration. I also did not hear news stories under the Trump administration of how we have a ton of illegal immigrants living in our country that our hard earned tax dollars are paying for. But with Biden, you can. now pay double for your food and let your neighbor forget about buying a house at a reasonable mortgage rate. Our immigration situation has been greatly exacerbated by Republican refusal to pass legislation or allocate funding for additional immigration judges and personnel--on the command of the candidate whose slogan is "me first. Who cares about the country?"

They are not dealing with reality. We see them not dealing with reality by not admitting their guilt of Biden’s cognitive decline. Have the president do medical tests and cognitive tests openly in front of all Americans if he is truly okay. But we know he is not okay. Even members in his own party has called him to step down. Yet, many in the Left media and in his campaign and family are selling a false narrative that is not in touch with reality. We all seen what happened at the debate. It’s over for them. He clearly has dementia or some degenerative problem that is affecting his cognitive abilities. He is not fit to be president now let alone to be fit for doing such a job for another four more years. Just look at old clips of Biden talking to people in the beginning of his campaign and look at him now. Clearly there is a decline and a problem. To deny it is to deny reality. They could be working now to have him step down or they may not. I think they know its absolutely crazy to assert everything is fine but they also believe it's baked into the cake that the American people will get it....that is even though Biden is elected everyone knows it will be powers which be behind the scenes running the country. Biden of course will be signing this paper and that and will basically claim he listens to his advisors. The listening to them though may be the ONLY thing he does.
