The Biden administration had barely tossed its bomb before the backtracking began.

In the immediate aftermath of the “Top Gun”-style destruction of a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina on Saturday, a “senior defense official” dropped word during a news briefing that such incursions were known to have taken place at least “three times” during former President Donald Trump’s administration.

When Trump exploded in furious denial and key members of his White House backed him up — even outspoken opponents like former National Security Advisor John Bolton — it wasn’t long at all before Biden administration “sources” were feeding a slightly different tale to their media lapdogs — but it only made matters much worse.

Nearly 8 years on Trump's still in charge. Got to admit he really is a "great person". Even when not in power he still has power. Everything the current administration do have to be measured or referenced back to him somehow. Are you Americans sure you didn't vote for Trump?

That's sad if you thinks about it. You voted for a guy whom you place your hopes will do right by the people but all he does is worry about how it will be perceived in comparison to the previous guy. The Bible said that no man can plow a field straight by looking backwards.

But hey Sera Sera politicians will be what they will be.

For those of us paying attention, more than a week ago we knew the full story about this aspect of the situation.

Pentagon says it had ‘an awareness gap’ that led to failure to detect 3 Chinese balloons under Trump​

“Every day as a NORAD commander, it’s my responsibility to detect threats to North America. I will tell you that we did not detect those threats,” Gen. Glen VanHerck, commander of US Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command said when asked about the three other balloons.

You will hunt in vain for the Pentagon saying "there were 3 balloons during the Trump Administration, and Trump knew about it and did nothing."

They said "there were balloons during the Trump Administration".
