  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Biblically speaking, would it be a sin for 2 women who are both married to the same man to engage in sexual actions with one another?

I mean in another thread I heard that homosexual sex is condemned because it is outside of marriage, and homosexuals cannot marry, so I wondered how this would fall in place?

Genuinely curious to what people think?

In the context of the post and with the general generic "thou shalt nots" of Scripture, it would be wrong simply because the women are married to the man and not one another.

It would be a sin because it's sex outside of marriage. The two women are committing adultery.

Since the women are not married to each other, it would be wrong.

No

I have no 'hangups on sexuality' and it was a simple judgement call. Mono a mono, I didn't even bring up the Will of God.
Oh come now, we all have hangups. For example, I wouldn't have relations with a turtle.
But isn't the will of God what we're talking about in this thread? (If I'm wrong, I'd love to hear what we actually are talking about.) And if that is what we're talking about, is your gut really an authority on that?

Like I said, no hangups. I do not represent the will of God. It was a gut call on my understanding of the Bible, dispute it or leave it.

Huh. It seems we're left with an uncomfortable little disconnect with the Will of God and our access to it.

What are you trolling about now?
Well, you made a judgment call on a moral matter. If morality (previously referred to as the Will of God) is to be taken seriously by people, isn't it bothersome that it's a matter of judgment, and that it can be violated quite accidentally through ignorance? It's like we have a system of laws that is not written down at all, but is still enforced with eternal punishment. Like I said, uncomfortable.

Why would it make you uncomfortable, you're not even part of the Church so you are outside it's jurisdiction.

Philosophy and theology were my areas of study in school, and seemingly screwy positions in either make me uncomfortable. It is like having a spider sense, but for philosophy nerds.

Babbling again are we, make a point or something. This was like a red herring, and an appeal to authority or something...
