Biblically, they are NEVER considered as "food."Are you saying that pig, shrimp and lobsters are off limits as well?
I actually believe that it is the spirit behind the words that giveth life. And no amout of knowledge of Greek, English, or Aramaic would help with spiritual understanding. .
I find no fault in anything you believe......may you continue to find comfort in your knowledge of words of different languages.Considering that the Spirit CHOSE to use specifically these languages to record God's Word? I think you should be more careful in predetermining your closing of your mind.
God is giving us men who can teach from these languages for good reason. But, you have to want it. Seek it. And, find it. Many instead seek how their emotions will lead them..
Once you start learning how those languages uniquely lend themselves to avoiding much of the confusion that many who think they are being spiritual cause? You will learn to deeply appreciate how solid answers can be secured.
Besides.. The Word of God teaches us how to be spiritual. It also warns us to test the spirits. The Word of God only when understood in ACCURACY is the safeguard in that matter.

I do not eat them.Does this mean you do not eat them and think it best that others do not as well?
AmenThe Word of God only when understood in ACCURACY is the safeguard in that matter.
I know that is being taught as "biblical," but one is hard pressed to prove it. There are a bunch of extra-biblical assumptions that have to go into such a proof.Under the Law they were not. But, no longer for the church age.
Just like it was not so before, when those foods were considered not to be food.. That, now Jews are co-equals with Gentile believers in God. But, not so when under the Law. Things have changed. The Cross has come. Certain things that were considered "not" have now become "is."
We are to eat anything that God created to be for food, as he created them to be. In other words? Organic, and not denatured and refined. Whole. Just the Word should taught.
I like it.....and now understand that you should be able to use those scriptures againt the consumption of humans.I do not eat them.
Everyone else has to make up their own mind.
But I would argue against their consumption.
You cannot understand the scripture accurately through study and schooling. You can only come up with better and better interpretations.... If any lack knowledge let him ask of God who gives freedom. For the wisdom of God is revealed, not learned.Amen
You're hard pressed. Not me.I know that is being taught as "biblical," but one is hard pressed to prove it. There are a bunch of extra-biblical assumptions that have to go into such a proof.

I find no fault in anything you believe......may you continue to find comfort in your knowledge. But you must be able to understand. That only comes through accuracy. You are giving me fuzzy logic.
You're missing a major point. If you have distortions in translations? What can you think with? We lack knowledge of what the original languages state in too many cases. Its why we see too many Christians too sure of themselves while not knowing what they are doing. God is fair. He will provide. He has... But stubbornness remains. Humility submits to the authority God brings our way for our good. Pride wars against it.
But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed
to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Submit therefore
to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Jas 4:6-7
The Devil will resist believers and tell them they do not need to learn from someone who can teach from the languages that the Bible was written in. Wonder why?
Correct. Now prove that pork and shell fish is included in that word FOOD.3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with
thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." 1 Timothy 4:3-5
And that which is "revealed" absolutely cannot violate the written word. If it does so, it is "revealed" by something OTHER than God's Spirit. In which case it must be rejected. If any lack knowledge let him ask of God who gives freedom. For the wisdom of God is revealed, not learned.
Yes, this is common knowledge......No spiritual interpretation can disagree with my interpretation of the words....else it is blasphemy or at the very least, false, or from the devil. And that which is "revealed" absolutely cannot violate the written word. If it does so, it is "revealed" by something OTHER than God's Spirit. In which case it must be rejected.
Do you read the New Testament? Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles. Have you ever read that he told them to buy any food sold in the market? They were having a problem because the best cuts of meat were sacrificed to the Roman gods. Nothing to do with kosher. Just the same. One of the favorite meats of the Romans was pig. You don't know this because no one has taught you this. You are only getting the Law.Correct. Now prove that pork and shell fish is included in that word FOOD.
Remember that Pharisaic Judaism did not just follow the biblical directions but put a whole other layer of restrictions including the type of slaughter, how to wash your hands before and after eating, etc. If you did not jump thru all of their hoops in the right order, you had to abstain from eating, even if it was good biblically. This is what Paul is talking about.
Of course I knew that. Knew it for decades. But a lot of the sacrifices were also of goats and sheep. Since pork is NOT a "food" biblically speaking, the apostle would have communicated that to the congregants, probably when he was in each locale the first time and never had to be reiterated in his letters.Do you read the New Testament? You see the issues that can arise when people rely on their own study of words? The greater one perceived knowledge the greater the disagreement and the more attached we are to the wisdom we've gained. But, this much I will say. Paul would have commanded them not to eat what they were accustomed to. Why are you missing this factor?
