Adam and Eve. First husband and wife mentioned in Genesis. They walked in the Garden of Eden with God but sadly disobeyed God and allowed sin to enter in. It is wonderful that God in His mercy restored human beings to fellowship with Him through Jesus Christ His Son.

David and Abigail > David was getting ready to make a major error, by killing off all the men of Nabal the husband of Abigail. But she got wind of how Nabal had dissed David and his men so that then David was going to get revenge. And she came and stood up to David and straightened him out!

It seems she was gorgeous. But after David got a sample of her wisdom, I think he was stunned at how a woman could be a lot more than attractive. And he thanked the LORD for arranging for her to come and help him so he would not ruin how he would want to be known as ruler of Israel.

Elijah and Elisha. 'When Elijah anointed Elisha, he decided at that point to leave his parents’ home and follow Elijah. The Bible says he became his servant. In essence, he was an apprentice and would assume the mantle that Elijah left.

Most scholars agree that Elisha had the benefit of spending six years learning from Elijah. This represented six years of serving, six years of humility and empathy, and six years of preparing for succession.'
