TheBigAl said:Well, first we have to be clear on the definition of being "biblical".
I mean, what would you consider to be the definition of biblical?
Now a days the belief of demons and such, even though it is still prevalent in some belief systems, is discarded overall by modern churches. Why, because all demonic activities and ideas were applied to illnesses like mental diseases and physical disabilities, which we understand and treat better today.
To read the Bible and accept it at face value verbatim or comprehend what the Bible says by studying every chapter and verse is biblical. One may find that some scripture is directed towards a particular group; however, after investigating the original Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew; one needs not to look to outside opinion or commentaries as GOSPEL. I do believe in literal demonic possession and what happened during the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, and in Nazi Germany; ALL suggest that it is a very real and modern occurance.
ps>>> Most "modern" churches are motivated by their own desires and are not Biblically grounded in the least. Women ministers, homosexual preachers, abortion activists ---- none of this is promoted by the Holy Scriptures. The fact is that the very opposite is true. The fact is that this is likely of demonic influence.
