I know all the assurances intellectually and believe with all my heart, but it makes no difference to the chemical death in my brain. I believe in Jesus with all my heart and all the promises in the Bible, but do they not apply to me then? One thing keeps me from taking my life, the fear that I might find myaelf in a hell that is worse than this depression. This is a sample of hell, and I m terrified of the whole thing.

Great to hear that you believe in God and His Word, I found it to be a great help in fighting my suicidal depression. Although I have a depressive illness I found that applying God's truth to my heart and letting it renew my mind that the power of my depression was greatly reduced.

Faith in His love brings us hope and hope in Him will not disappoint us. This is what I did I let God's truth fight the power of my depression and found that it brought me my good life back.

True it was an epic battle, which required that I held onto the truth of God's love and denied depression the right to lie to my heart and mind, it sure made a difference.


I have battled like this for near 7 years now and left my suicidal depression behind, though I still struggle with depressive times, it is amazing what faith in God's love has brought me.

Please remember that fear will be cast out so don't have too much life in it, rather rebuild your heart and mind with God's amazing gifts of love.

Let the Word bring you compassion, grace, mercy, forgiveness, hope, self-control, long suffering, kindness, faithfulness, joy, thankfulness in greater and greater measure and your heart will be able to fight your depressive moods much better than when we are overcome by the power of our depression.

Come let us praise God together and let His loving truth deliver us from the power of depression.

Christ knows all about the great desolation. He's been there Himself. Jesus conquered it. His love is truly mind blowing. He got me away from the loveless claws of the devil. (He is love Himself and suffers all our wrongs.)

What you sow you shall reap, Jesus told me when I met Him on the bottom of my run, when I just been raging at Him for leaving me to suffer for so long.
How could I argue? I've been sowing misery for years. Everything was negative. I was murderous after my own life. The darkness of my mind had nothing pleasant on offer.

Jesus lives in our heart and speaks the Word to us in love, the Bible is a spiritual book, in it we find Him who is Eternal life.

I'm sitting in a lightless pit and I know what you are saying about the Lord is true, but I have been cursed to doubt that I could be in line for any of that hope and mercy through events in my childhood. There is a war in my mind, sometimes I do believe that He could even bless me, but mostly I expect to be on the rejects list. Even the Bible says that some people were created for destruction.

I had a fanciful thought today; what if someone discovers a way of making us young again? I was actually horrified with the idea of living extra long. No, let me get of this planet sooner!

Yes you qualify to receive God's promises because you have faith in Jesus and believe The Word He has spoken.

Rom 10:11

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.

or

Rom 10:13

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

This is the good news that you already believe, so let it revive you from your depressive illness and don't believe in yourself as a reject any longer.

I found that loving God because He loved me and loving my neighbour proved to be a real helper. Praying for others who were hurting took the focus away from my own pain and rebuild me a loving and caring heart.

Sure it took some time in the making where doubting God's grace and heeding unbelief was done away with and all my fears I dropped off at His feet.
The first thing to believe is that Jesus loves you and died to pay for your sins and shortcomings. Let His good news fill you up to overflowing.

Check it for yourself put your trust and faith in God's loving truth and see if it comforts you and makes you feel better. Yet when you doubt God's promises to yourself then you feel bad again.:o

This is how I fought against my depression. I put God's truth up against the lies of my depression. True it was a massive battle, which took many years, but God won.

It was incredible how many things I believed which were contrary to the truths of the Bible. Depression does that it lies to our hearts and minds all the time.

Be of good courage dear sister and dare to let God's loving truth liberate you from your pit.





What Can I Say About Suffering

What can I say, about what have I learned from our Heavenly Father? I can see now that evil lies cause pain to be alive within human existence. I have watched how isolation, forces lies down into suffering souls - as The Wicked cut all ties with truthful love and our crushing depression generate its own misery in our agonising hell down there. I know that in the Pit all lies end up - dragging us down living dead. Yet why would I continue to let bad life be dominant in my inner world of awareness and not God's loving truth to rule my every moment?

I have learned that creeds, values and morals are rules upon rules ruling. Still wicked lies spread like maggots through my flesh, killing all goodness within me, because I'm imperfect! To just let it be and move on is best I learned about that. And so The Word of God spoken in love for God, self and neighbour, is The Voice to heed at all times.

I have experienced that time brings good and bad, up and down, far and wide for everyone. Yet the power of God's love, as even bad sin and great failings ruled me, couldn't subdue Jesus grace over me as His loving truth set me free to be myself - time and again.

I understand that anguish speaks to those experiencing life truly untrue and lovelessly - and that our Heavenly Father never wanted this to rule His kids. Indeed I know that my wretchedness longs for the demise of all my agony. So that misery may never rule my life again, no more Bad Life overshadowing my here and now, instead freedom for me. For in God's loving truth, even through much hurt, I can finally stay on top of things, my loveless lies to hand to Christ as God's Good Life grows within in Return.

I know now that loving truth is the only useful weapon against the forces of evil. Complete freedom for me if I heed God's love in truth to rule my daily life. So why would I foolishly keep letting malefic lies decide my future. Why not forgive, why leave truthful love? While I know that only God's good makes my life a worthwhile experience?

I have seen that life is genuinely worth living in honest loving togetherness. Where everyone who exists is esteemed because they are specially made. For our real value lays not in how much gain we can yield for others. But simply because all existence speaks of life's importance to be loved. The communion of Saints - true love loving people doing the loving - is very important therefore.

So I choose loving truthfulness to steer me through those terrible storms down here. For even through extraordinary agony and times of incredible much suffering. God's truth preserves my life. His loving goodness keeping me from falling. As I found that warm-heartedness is truly effective against the deadly chill of devil's breath.

Jeshu. Did you write that? It makes me think that I'm not holding on to the Lord Jesus as tightly as I should. It is like the only way to win the war against depression is to be completely sold out to Jesus and I haven't been doing that. I believe your advice is true. Thank you!!! Be blessed. Can God help us when we are depressed? Can the light overcome the darkness that depressed people are so often in? How can God help us when we are languishing in the pit, totally overcome by misery and despair?

The first thing we need is faith, faith in God's loving truth. It is very important that we have faith in God's loving truth for when we have faith in God's loving truth He will renew our minds.

In a nutshell.

1) Jesus died to pay for ALL of our sins. (1 John 2:2, Romans 3:24)
2) We are God's rightful children. (Acts 17:28, 1 John 3:1)
3) The Bible has the power to set us free. (Romans 8:2, Hebrews 1:3)
4) The Word is spiritual and should firstly and foremost be applied to the heart. (Psalm 86:11-13, John 14:23)

Once we put our faith in God's loving truth we can let that truth begin to dismantle the lies of our depression. For when we put our faith in God's Word then the lies which depression bombards us with begin to loose their power.

It is essential that we surround ourselves with God's truth and that we fight to stay in that truth no matter how bad we might feel. To have faith in God's loving truth is the secret to breaking the chains of depression. Even if depression as an illness hangs around, God's loving truth can break the back of this monster and set us free from its dark powers.

Once we begin to put our faith in God's love it will begin to comfort us in our distress and we can begin to move away from the lies depression is throwing our way.

Try it my dear suffering brothers and sisters. Try to stay in God's loving truth, even if you succeed only for a short time, the power of God's truth will already begin to comfort and strengthen you.

Let God's Word rebuild your hearts and digest the truth of the Bible in your heart letting it renew your mind.

Honestly true God's loving truth is awesome and can get us back on our feet again, no matter how depressed we might be, The truth of God's love has the power to comfort and strengthen us.

Thankful, I'm feeling so incredibly thankful. For years I believed that I would never see the light of day again. For years it was like that but when I believed that I was going to get through it, and began to sow good life in my heart everything has changed.

The Bible is an awesome book dear friends, when we read and apply its truths spiritually it sets us free. Just like Jesus promised! The truth shall set us free. The truth asks us to love Him and our neighbour like ourself, or should I say, and also ourself.

No not selfish love, for that brings us only more misery, but with God's love, apply His love to yourself.

Taste what it is like to be beloved of the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and put your faith in Jesus Christ and in His loving truth.

Your emptiness to fill with hope and faith in God's love.
As forgiving yourself is not as easy as doing it wrong.

My biggest hurt is that still so many suffering people stare at their misery often in mental agony thinking there is no hope

I've been there it is such a cruel place. On the one hand sadness, isolation, guilt, shame, self-esteem problems galore, fear, or should I say terror, but on the other hand, anger, hate, rage, jealousy, loveless deeds, and grand scale listening to gossip. What has negative tongue not all to say? How loveless, cruel and mean is this voice not within us?

What does misery tell us?

That we are no good and that bad must stay.

And we believe that too!

When Jesus walked in that day, right into my life

I raged at Him, for taking His time!

Still His love is so good, who can stay angry with Jesus?

The truth is He suffers all the bad, but yet He reigns supreme.

He is The Source of good life.

He asked me where mine was....

I had nothing on show, nothing just my miserable existence

Then He said what you sow you shall harvest!

(Showing me in the mean time how for years I had heeded hopeless misery, despair and fear and harvested agony.)

Then I realised how True Jesus was.

Some strongholds in my life where;

Hopeless thoughts.
Angry thoughts.
Listening to gossip!
Guilty thinking.
Self hate.
Judgemental thoughts.
Fearful thinking/Paranoid thinking.
A hurting ego.

Remedy?

Practise love
and then Sow your dreams in God's love
Trusting in God's love and mercy
Prepare to meet up with Christ
And die to the old order.
Refuse to carry that number.
With stand the dragon
Unravel the false prophet.
Eat the Scroll - means apply it to your life in such a manner that it becomes the flying scroll exposing and doing away with wrongful practices. For He dwells within. The Living Word. To have Him to guard and protect you in daily life. God is awesome.

Nobody is loving like Him and yet love has a harsh reality awaiting because we do it wrongly - misery awaits - for wrong does away with love and love's rule and sets up other kings to rule over the person, be they objects or subjects of our desires or fears or values and morals that we might have and are proud off, they are our inner kings and lords, often forgetting that Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords. We should only ever heed Him. He is The Word of God, He died so that we sinners in His Life still be. That is if we deny ourselves and lay down our lives willingly so that we can be dressed anew by Him.

The Word of God understood as a love letter from The Creator of Heaven and Earth. A blue print of our own inner world in Him.

There is hope, lots of hope when we put our faith in God's loving truth. Let The Word rule our hearts and minds for then we know for sure we will be in contact with good life.

I'm feeling sad, sad at the world leaders, sad at the knowledge that hate thrives in human hearts everywhere. Manipulation of the masses is done through the media. So slick tongues telling us doctored truth if not straight out lies. Our education system is world's greatest indoctrination process ever. Most people think we stem back from monkeys, just intelligent animals, and death means ceasing to exist. The miracle of life in God's Being eludes them completely. They are dead even though they are still alive. Living meaningless existences awaiting punishment.

Did Jesus then die in vain???

Such an abomination alive within humanity. No contact with God their Lord and Creator. How downtrodden is He? He saved them all but only a few take heed to His Call. No wonder I am feeling sad. Jesus is sad too!

Oh Come Lord Jesus Come. You're alive among us again. Your Spirit invigorating us. Guiding us with your Word in Spirit. Teaching us to love and giving us the freedom to do it right and stay away from wrong.
