CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In sept of 73 I started reading the bible. By March of 74 I had finished and became a bit mad. I didn't even understand why I was mad, just that I was.
I started going back through the bible again but still mad. I toss the bible aside.
For some reason I picked up the bible and stood holding the bible in the air and yelling at God said,
IF YOU CAN CREATE THE WORLD IN SIX DAY, YOU HAVE SIX DAYS TO TELL ME THE TRUTH. Or you can go to Hell!
I again toss the bible aside and forgot about it.
I ended up going to a retreat and on the last day of the retreat, while waiting for my wife to meet in the lobby, My best friends wife and I heard two men getting loud about Who was Jesus. I turned to Sue and said what do You think. Sue who was born a Jewish Catholic, pulled me by the hand and went down the hall,telling me she want to know too. She brought me to a couple sitting in a conference room. I was from Jersey on vacation in Pa. talking to a couple from ME. WHO brought Sue and I to the Lord.
I said all this because it turned out to be 6 days since I yelled at God. You may want to rethink that the bible is full of it, because HE broke my heart in Pa. and I came to understand the word of God.
