  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This may be the wrong forum to ask in bt I was slightly lost so came here. Sorry! Does anyone know of a good online resource which would allow me to search for every time a Greek word appears in the Bible? www.studylight.org appears to be really good, but I can't seem to be able to search for Greek words. For example: it'll tell me how many times "kurios" is translated as Lord, and how many times it is translated as master. I can then search for all the times that Lord appears in the text, but this doesn't include the times that "kurios" has been translated master. I haven't explained myself very well, but hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction! Thanks!

All tranlations use different meanings for words. Here is a lexicon site that will bring up each instant of a hebrew or greek word with the corresponding verses then a strong number next to each word in the verse. The kjv is not a good translation in my opinion.

http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html
You can this site to bring up about 10 transalations along with a KJV lexicon at the bottom for the translation of each verse. just follow the directions to set it up for multi translations. Excellent site.

Hi there!

http://www.blueletterbible.org/

that site will tell you how many times a word is translated such-and-such, and the passages are made available.
