Yes and in Nehemiah Chapter 4v16 it says that half the people had to act as guards and they carried spears, shields and bows.

Yes they mortgaged their lands and vineyards through usury which is money lending with interest.

Then the nobles and rulers were taking the vineyards of the Jews for not paying the debt.

Yes, it was quite abominable. Underneath it all, and the most dastardly, was that they had no "fear of God" or regard for Him whatsoever in their hearts. What this boils down to is that they despised God in their hearts.
