Bible question

I hope i'm posting this question in the right place

I read this in the non christian forum:

It's not really a surprise to most Christians that Islam is growing, since our scriptures tell us that in the latter days, the world will move further away from the truth of Christianity and will be deceived into following a false path. Jesus warned us about this.

can anyone show me where it states this in the bible?

does it say that Islam is that "false path"?

i'm having a debate with a muslim friend about what the bible says about Islam so i would really appreciate it if anyone can help

Dunno about the specific "islam" thing in the Bible. Islam can be shown to be a false theology. But I doubt that fact will score many points with your friend (at least until they are more aware that Christianity is the truth).

1 Timothy 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

Other than the verses already posted, I would just refer you to my signature.
Probably the best way to preach the Truth to muslims is to point out the many places where the koran contradicts the Bible and therefore cannot be of GOD. There is a great website for these contradictions called "Answering Islam". (it's a .org not a .com)
Check it out when you have a chance.
