I heard in a sermon a couple of weeks ago this statement.

If what we are reading in the bible or if our understanding of it does not cause us to love others sacrificially then we need to take another look.

God is love, he sacrificed himself for us who don't deserve it, we are to be like him.

We have to be very careful about head knowledge. It all comes down to heart-knowledge, but at the same time living the true life as per His Word is all a race, and up a narrow path. We should never try to berate or make His Sheep feel condemned or guilty.
