  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi Jesusfreak2...

Best place to start is go see your youth pastor or pastor and share with them how you feel called by God to go to Bible College. They'll give you heaps of advice on what avenues of service are available and tell you the preliminary steps you need to take. Talk it over with them and ask them to pray with you and for you.

Good on ya

Keep in mind that "going into ministry" does not neccessarily require going to Bible College... It depends very much on what form of ministry God is directing you towards... In some cases it may be essential... in others not...

I would suggest that you do three things ... four really and they are (in order...
1) Pray...
2) Pray some more...
3) Discuss the matter with someone who you trust in the Lord, preferably a Pastor, Elder, etc
4) PRAY...

If this is what God wants for you, He will open doors you didn't even know were there and equip you fully to do His work...

Hi,
The best thing you can do is read the Scripture yourself first (at least once).
From cover to cover (don't miss out on any of the hard bits - they are God's Word also). I have found that very few Christians have read God's Word - but they have gone to Bible College or some other theological training centre.
His Word should form the basis for any work the Lord may have called you to.
Without the Scripture as the foundation, you have no foundation.
Read it - and be prepared to obey it - and He will guide you.

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
May He bless you as you seek to obey, love and serve Him.

Sorry, but I forgot to give the Scripture reference for:

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy, chapter 3:16,17 (but please read the whole book to put it into it's context).

I live in a remote area and study by distance education. Maybe you could start off with a unit or two and see if you like it.
