Suit yourself.
Anyone can criticize.
Make a recommendation -- and be specific.
Like I told our resident professor of literature:
Quit cursing the dark and light a candle.
Most of us have a clue what to do. But just in case you are confused:
1. Use less electricity
2. Use less gasoline
3. Try to go with renewable energy wherever you can (and ensure your politicians support this)
4. Vote for politicians who will NOT promise to bring dirty fuels like coal "back"
5. Reduce/Reuse/Recycle
6. Be ready to have laws enacted which will limit your ability to waste energy
There are lots of other things you can do which you've already been told about no doubt.
Don't think for a second that people like me who say this are pictures of perfection. I do what I can but I'm by no means "perfect". I went into short term debt to put solar on my home and I drive an electric car which I attempt to charge at home whenever I can (though sometimes I use the free charging at work), I try to be good about recycling. I always vote for politicians who have a serious view of what the science says. And, of course, I did my homework on coal chemistry so I would know a bit more than the average bear about that topic.
There's a lot you can do. And ALSO, here's the best thing:
Learn the basic science and STOP POSTING ANTI-SCIENCE CRAP meant to undercut what we pretty well understand fully.
