Hi everyone,
We know that there have been complaints about some advertisements slipping through that are not fitting for our site. It is very hard to track them down because we use so many advertising networks.
Yesterday, we started testing a new advertising network that is being used on a handful of other Christian websites. These ads pay us very well, are family friendly and will be helpful to you.
At the highest point, we look to see at least 25% of all of our ads going through this network, which should cut down drastically on the ability for inappropriate ads to find their way on to our site.
It won't be instant, but over time you should all see an improvement in ad quality here.
While it may look like nothing is being done, I do work full time behind the scenes to find ways to improve the quality of the site, both in content and in advertisements. It takes a lot of work and time. I think you all will be happy with the improvements as they come.
As always, if you wish to support the site and get rid of ads, you can do so by upgrading your account here: http://www.christianforums.com/account/upgrades which will remove all advertisements.
Thank you all for your patience. It has been a long summer of work but I hope you will be able to see things start coming together for a better CF experience.
