I usually hate chick singers.
Or chick-fronted bands.
I like Bethany Dillon.
That says something.
I like her self-titled album, and have not heard anything else.
I was actually spurred on to her by the song "All I Need" also.
Since listening to the whole cd, I like it a lot. It lives up to my standards based on how I liked "All I Need"
You should pick up her self-titled.

If you like "All I Need", you probably won't be disappointed by the rest of her self-titled album.

I just got her newest album "Imagination" and it is awesome! I like it a lot more than her self-titled.

I'm really looking forward to hearing her on Jeremy Camp's Restored Tour. I also think it's awesome that her back up band on the tour is Jeremy's bassist (Michael) and drummer (Leif). If only I didn't have to wait until October...

Bethany's Song Featured In New Dakota Fanning and Kurt Russell Movie, Dreamer

“Dreamer,” a new tune co-written and performed by Bethany, will be featured as the end credit song in the upcoming DreamWorks film, DREAMER: INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY, starring Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning.

The movie is a heartwarming account of a horse trainer (Russell) and his daughter (Fanning) who nurse an injured horse back to health and strive together to achieve a dream against all odds. Bethany's song, like the movie, is about sacrifice and faith.

This month, Bethany and her music label, Sparrow Records, will partner with DreamWorks to produce a music video for “Dreamer.” The song will also be serviced as a single to mainstream Hot AC and Triple A radio stations with an impact date of September 12. DREAMER: INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY hits theaters nationwide October 21. Find out more about the movie at DreamWorks.com/Dreamer.

“Dreamer” is also the opening track on Bethany's much-anticipated second album, IMAGINATION, in stores everywhere August 16. The project follows her hit self-titled debut, which earned GMA Music Award nominations for New Artist, Female Vocalist, Pop/Contemporary Album, and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year.

In related news, Bethany is also a featured artist on MUSIC INSPIRED BY: THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (in stores September 27), a soundtrack to the Walt Disney/Walden Media film based on the classic C. S. Lewis book. Find out more about the movie at Narnia.com.

Finally, Bethany will promote all three projects when she joins the 40-city Restored Tour with Jeremy Camp beginning September 7. For concert dates and developing Bethany Dillon news, check out BethanyDillon.com.

She's pretty good. I don't have any of her CDs, but I did hear a few of her songs. What kinda got me a little upset was that she sung a song called "Vagabond" on her Imagination CD. Now it was a really pretty song, but for me having researched Vagabonds and a lot of the poetry and things behind it, and really just loving the concept, it was very inaccurate to Vagabonds. I know that sounds kind of silly, but I mean, I just love Vagabonds, so I was kinda turned off 'cuz she made Vagabonds all skippy and happy, if you read any of Bliss Carman's work of Vagabonds, they're pretty dark and mysterious, not gothic, just kind of fall/wintery, and very poetic and spirited. I'd still say it's worth getting her CD though because she's very talented. :)

I have her self titled cd and I love that cd. Musically I like it because of the "folkish" sound it has...add her beautiful vocals and you got magic. Her second cd is on my "to by list" but I just have way to many names on my money at the moment. lol. Plus Batman Begins comes out today...that's the last of my spending money. lol...but in the future I will be picking up her second cd.
