Best weapon in a game?

Mine would have to be the lightsaber in any Star Wars game.

Mine would have to be your 'arm' off of 'Medevil' for playstation. Very original. Also the 'masks' off of LoZ Majora's Mask if you consider them weapons. Zelda Games have some cool weapons.

Any ridiculously explosive self guided missle/rocket launcher will do.

The plasma sword from Halo 2.

The Plasma Sword does nothing against a stealthy sniper! Sniper/rifle all the way!

The Gunsword from Final Fantasy VIII is pretty cool. And the double bladed swords Zidane gets at the end of FF IX are sweet too. I think Angel Bless was the one I particularily liked.

The Master Sword from the legend of Zelda. It has the power to destroy evil and only a chosen one can wield it. Yooohooo. All that's needed.

In Doom3 you can use a chainsaw...on Mars.
Because everyone needs a chainsaw no matter what planet they're on.

Shotgun from Halo, that was the only shotgun to be awsome throughout the whole game.

the Flak Cannon from any Unreal game....

about it, i guess i have a preference for close range weapons

Agreed. I also liked the chainsaw in Doom.

Although they aren't the most deadly things ever, nothing is more satisfying than hearing someone scream out "AHHHH!! SNARKS!!! GET EM OFF ME!!! GET EM OFF ME!!!"

GunBlade final fantasy. Something that cool should diffently be made. Although a close second would be the lightsabre.

Those are the coolest items but a good head on your sholders and the wisdom of God are our best weapons.
