How did you take the picture with the snow on the lens - was it snowing heavily at the time?

I love atmospheric pictures like that, I wish I could perfect the art :)

The photo with the snow flakes was actually taken inside my car and the flakes were on the passenger window. ;) I'm surprised it turned out that well!

I, too, love the atmospheric photos. I see such beautiful sunrises and sunsets that I wanted to try to get a few photos of them.

God Bless,
Charity

I guess I'll go. I used to shoot a lot of nature, before I got into photography as a livelihood/career. Now I just shoot people, LOL. The first is of a snow covered waterfall from when I used to live up north. That was film. The seond is a picture from St. Augustine, Florida. The rest are just general work. If anyone is interested, the next issue of New Man Magazine will have some of my work in it. Any pictures used for the article about Joy At Work author Dennis Bakke were from my last magazine photo shoot. I'm also doing some product photography for them next week.

Well, your shooting people has gotten to be very good. I'm still learning the art of that. Nature is so simple so that's what I do a lot of. But I've always shot a lot of pictures of my children. Here's one that I took many years ago of one of my girls hanging up the wash. She was totally unaware that I was close by. It's one of my favorites.

I've heard that from a lot of people. I wonder if it's that people are more challenging and offer a greater range of emotional impact in their pictures.

Whatever it is, I like your photos. The first portrait of the girl with the doorways in the background is my favorite. I bet that place is hugely popular with wedding photographers :)

Oddly enough, it's a local college campus. They let me have the run of the place as long as I don't interfere with students or classes. The hall she is standing in is inside the courtyard behind the college chapel.

Hi everyone! Some fabulous pics over the past few pages! Here are a few I've taken recently :)

1 and 2 A couple of sunset pics, the 1st taken at my house a few mins before sunset
3. Looking out to a cliff face north of a quiet piece of national park about an hour south of Sydney, Australia
4. Another pic from the same location...on the other side of the shrubs in the background is a 150 or so foot drop to the Pacific Ocean
5. A rainbow lorikeet feeding from a palm tree in my backyard - really tested the zoom on my S5500...
