Oldest - Vectrex
Older - NES
Old - Genesis
Newer - Dreamcast
Newest - Xbox / PS2 ...... I still haven't decided. They both get play time.
Future? - Who cares as long as it has games that I enjoy playing

As for debating systems using the "this system has better graphics" arguement..... it doesn't matter. Some of the prettiest games have had the worst gameplay and vice versa. Give me quality games that I enjoy and I'll be happy.

Ahhhh... sports games. Tsk. Tsk. As a rule I never play a game that includes somthing I can do "In real life" but if you insist on Console-sports-gaming, I guess you should go with PS2, that has the most sports games. Xbox or Gcube might have better quality, but I have no idea since I never play them.

I would have to say a computer is the best gamer! If you can get a video card that can hold the grafics, then you have the best gamer. But that card would cost you about $500.00...(Lucky me...I have one)...but PS2's are WAY cheaper. I would say for the money, a PS2 is the best system. But all the cool ones are ether rated "m" or cost $50 ...And I don't really like "m" games. I would have Grand Theft Auto: vice city if it did not have all that (stinkin stuff) in it. I love to play it, but some stuff in there, and I hate that kind of stuff. But a PS2 is the best for the money...

God Bless!

but the system is aimed at a younger audiance. but i think nintendo doesn't want to change, and i dont think ever will.

they will be with platformers...forever.

but notice all the games you said where better on other systems or survival. thats why the system is a kiddy system, but some people like that.

its just what you like more, but i would like nintendo to go software only, i woud love to play zelda on my xbox.

it just depends on what games you wanna play really. im pretty much strictly ps2. i like ps2's games cause there are so many different kinds, and a few xbox games cause they occasionally come across some major hits. i dont really like any exclusive gamecube games (enough to buy at least). but thats just my opinion. GC fans arent going to conform because i say GC games suck. obviously they dont think so, thats fine. why try to convince everyone. however i still think ps2 has the only usable controller .

Are you paying attention?

Why should they?

Uhh...ok. Whatever that means. -shrug-

This strikes me as funny. What would you like, mature golf games, perhaps? Were people run you down on the greens in suped up carts? Don't think so. Fact is unless it's a highly stupid (Conker's bad fur day for the 64, for example) platform, sports or otherwise, Mature game are FPS or Survival/Horror Action Adventure or Fighting.

The current Zelda is a Kiddie game. Really freaks me out that you continue to state Gcube is for kids and the only games you cite ARE for kids.

The Gamecube DOES have more game aimed at kids. So what?

I will try once again to convince you, this time using my full arsenal of mature game lists.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X

True Crime: Streets of LA

Resident Evil 0

Resident Evil

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

XIII

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2

Spawn: Armageddon

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

Dead to Rights

Die Hard: Vendetta

Turok: Evolution

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon

BloodRayne

Red Faction II

Hunter: The Reckoning

Rogue Ops

Blood Omen 2

RoadKill

Note all of these game recives a repsectable score when reviewed. Unlike alot of Xbox games such as:

Kabuki Warriors

Robocop

Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This at Home

Blade II

RLH

This stuff just doesn't get published on the Gcube.

they do get published, (and if it helps i used to own a GC) the GC is aimed at a younger audience, you cant deny that, and those games...only like three that you mentiond are excusive. its not that i want lots of GORE or BLOOD, but i would like a solid adult story line, with real conversations, about things, not just GO HERE, or LOOK FOR DADADA.

the game cube is for kids mostly, or people who like platformers, or the die hard nintendo fans.

but all of the nintendo excusives (excluding res evil and metal gear) are aimed at a younger audiance, i just wish they go software only, and whats wrong with that anyway?

and i knew about all the games you said, but are any of them other best on GC? no.

also i think they should change because they ARE loosing more and more money.

are any of the excusives anything but horror games? no.

and you named horrible games for the xbox, and xbox has more "A" rated games than NGC, they are both fine systems, but nintedo is a kiddy system.

Old : Definitely SNES - If for nothing else, the fantastic RPG's make this the greatest console EVER.

New : I absolutely love the GC. When I play games, I want experiences that are not only fun, but also NEW and REFRESHING. Games like Animal Crossing and Viewtiful Joe are a prime example of games that are fun and well designed, but funny and charming as well. Both the PS2 and XBox have great games, but it seems like most companies are unwilling to take chances with their big franchises or to come out with original ideas. Nintendo has made some (I believe) inspired moves with GC software. I LOVE Zelda : WW's cel-shaded look, it's beautiful and animation is superb. Putting Metroid Prime in First-Person? I thought it would never work, but it's BRILLIANT. Eternal Darkness was a total surprise to me, engrossing and original, and Nintendo's acquiring of Silicon Knights was a great move.

As far as the kiddy thing goes, I'm sick of hearing that nonsense. Let's face it, if you are playing videogames, you are a kid at heart. If we weren't, we'd be doing something more constructive and worthwhile with our time, like charity work. There are "kiddy" games, but games like Animal Crossing and Zelda aren't kiddy. "Kiddy" is relative to the ability of children to play and understand the game. My 7-year old nephew plays and loves Tony Hawk games - does that make them kiddy? On the other hand, he can't for the life of him figure out how to get anywhere in Wind Waker. So a game being kiddy isn't decided by it's graphics, or the language and violence content, but by the fun and/or challenge it provides.

Why shouldn't I like it? Why would I be embarrassed to play a game that isn't offensive to kids? There are only two factors I consider when I consider if a game is good or not - is it challenging and is it fun? If it has both of those, then it shouldn't matter if the characters are furry love bunnies or if there is no bloody gore.
