  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi friends! I'm a spiritual baby (have recently started to make God my only priority) so I don't have any CDs. I'd really like people to recommend good Christian CDs, especially for meditation. The sound doesn't matter too much, I mostly want really good lyrics. I used to sing and now that I am turning to God He is giving me my voice back! So I want to have music I can learn to sing. My sister has some Christian CDs, but I won't list them because if they are recommended I'll just buy my own copy. If someone has posted a CD you would also recommend, I'd appreciate it if you would re-recommend it, as I can use all the feedback I can get. I think I'll buy ten CDs, just so 'WE ALL know.

Hmmm... I'd recommend:

* Michael W. Smith: Worship Boxset (both CDs are great)
* Audio Adrenaline: Underdog (not great for meditation, but I think it's got some amazing highlights- particularly Hands and Feet, This Day, Mighty Good Leader)
* Jars of Clay: Jars of Clay- hard to get hold of (at least in the UK) but some great numbers... particularly Liquid- moves me every time.
* Here I Am To Worship- it's a 2 CD set by various artists, with some great stuff on it. Great for praising God to, or just for praying with.

Hope these are some good to you!

-You should get any of the United Cds they are an awesome band with great songs.
-Also i recommend any Michael Gungor Cds his songs are so awesome especially "wrap me in Your Arms"(my sound clip)
-you could also pick up his wifes CD Lisa Gungor she's also great.
- one christian band i do recommend is Switchfoot, they don't play praise and worship songs,but their songs are awesome.
ummmm... thats pretty much all i could think of rite at the moment... if i can think of any more i'll post it.

Jeff Deyo is cool. He used to be in the group Sonic Flood. Look at his website. His new cd is releasing in August! I have all of his cd's!

It really depends on what type of music you are into. There is so much good Christian music out now!

Here lately, I've kept this in my cd changer. These are more pop rock sotra. Real easy listening . These 4 cd's are real good. You can't go wrong with these.....
